  • Gabe Newell: Next Half-Life needs to scare - Valve boss Gabe Newell has revealed the studio feels its Half-Life series needs to get back to "scaring" players. Although Newell didn't mention Half-Life Episode 3 by name, the prospect of a more frightening instalment will be sure to excite fans - and Newell reckons he knows the deepest fear of the series' core fans.
  • Battlefield 1943 To Be Patched, PC Version Still In The Works - DICE producer Gordon Van Dyke spoke at PAX East and explained there are no plans for Battlefield 1943 to receive any DLC. However the PC version is still planned and a patch is also coming.
  • Crysis 2 coming on September 24th? -  The chaps over at VG247 have gotten their hands on a document from video game retailer GAME that reportedly says EA’s Crysis 2 will be dropping on September 24th.
  • The Secret World Trailer - Here's a new trailer for The Secret World, offering the first look at gameplay from Funcom's upcoming conspiracy-laden MMORPG. The video gives a unique glimpse into the game, showcasing elements such as locations, characters, group combat and monsters.
  • ATI Catalyst 10.3b Preview GPU Drivers Released - First there was Catalyst Suite 10.3a, then Catalyst 10.3 WHQL (sans some of the a goodies), and now there's 10.3b, containing a fix for large in-game cursors and a fix for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 flickering.
  • Wings of Prey Add-on Preorders - Gaijin Entertainment announces preorders are now available on yuPlay for Wings of Luftwaffe, the first add-on for Wings of Prey, their World War II combat flight simulato
  • Starcraft II beta gets reset - Did you get in on the Starcraft II beta? If so, you may want to hurry up and re-register your nickname as it was just announced that all of the data associated with the beta has been erased. This includes stats and, nick names.
  • God of War 3 glitch gives players unearned weapons - The community has recently found a glitch in the game that will allow players to stock up on any in game weapon they want without earning them. The gltich still works after the 1.01 patch update.
  • USB Memory Support Available For the 360 on April 6th -  Major Nelson has just confirmed and given a release date for the software support: April 6th. While any flash drive will work, Microsoft is partnering with Sandisk to release a pre-configured XBOX 360 branded flash drive.

what sort of meaningless nonsense was that? no half life game has ever scared, I guess what they hinting at is there need to be less lighting and more flashlight pipe/duct crawling and moar headgrabs.

Scare more like surprise it what i experienced playing the half life series. He may be hinting the aim of the next installment, possibly horror genre specific.
