quick overview of the game includes new units, a new playable faction, more
maps, a new single-player campaign, a major user-interface revamp,
artificial intelligence revisions, and much more. It's difficult to quantify
the number of improvements we're including that don't fit into one of those
categories. I think that's why we haven't labeled it an expansion pack and
are making the product a stand-alone game. It's really big!

This new study from IBM and Seriosity (PDF) claims to show that people
who are able to play massively multiplayer games successfully might have an
edge in the real business world.
- Take Two Thanks Fans For Manhunt 2 Support - Take Two Interactive
has
sent an email to fans of its upcoming and currently on hold stealth
action game Manhunt 2 thanking them for their support of the game. The
company has pulled the release date for the game after it was banned in the
UK and slapped with an AO rating in the US. In a related story,
this article on the MCV web site reports that Roger Bennett, the former
head of the UK's video game trade group the ELSPA believes that the ban of
Manhunt 2 in that country could have long term effects.
- Yet Another Game Pulled From UK Shelves -
This time the BBC is reporting that the Nintendo DS game MindQuiz from
publisher UbiSoft has been pulled from shelves in the UK. Apparently the
game tells the player at one point that if they have low performance in the
game it rates your efforts in a manner that is "derogatory to the disabled"
(the article does not get more specific)

- People Still Line Up To Get The Wii - While most of the media
attention has been on the iPhone these past few weeks,
Wii is still continuing to generate long lines at stores that carry them
with near instant sell-outs
- Last Chance To Nab Free Wii Opera - A heads up that Opera for
Wii's gratis period ends tomorrow. From Sunday, the first of July it will
cost 500 Wii points for new downloaders, while those who procured it before
will not have to pay ever. 500 points is a reasonable price, but nowhere
near as good as free.
