on Bell of Lost Souls reveals plans to launch Baldur's Gate 3 into
Early Access later this year. This was revealed during an investor
presentation at the New York Toy Fair where Hasbro said this will be
part of a spate of releases that will see the launch of at least one
new D&D video game every year from now until 2025

- Electronic Arts has reportedly cancelled a Star Wars
Battlefront spin-off - Kotaku's Jason Schreier has reported that Electronic Arts has cancelled
a Star Wars Battlefront spin-off. According to Schreier's sources, EA
cancelled this Star Wars game in 2019. The reason behind this
cancellation? Unrealistic timelines. This Star Wars Battlefront
spin-off was codenamed Viking. The plan was for Viking to have
open-world elements. EA Vancouver has spent some time designing ideas
and prototypes for Viking, however Criterion was to be the main studio
behind it.
- Activision Hits Reddit with DMCA Subpoena - The
Hollywood
Reporter reports that Activision Blizzard has filed a Digital
Millennium Copyright Act subpoena against Reddit to learn the identity
of a user who revealed information about the next Call of Duty game.
They say neither party has yet replied to a request for comment,
offering the following explanation of what's going down from a court
filing:"Reddit is the service provider to which the subject of the
subpoena-Reddit user 'Assyrian2410' – posted infringing Activision
content," the filing, submitted Feb. 14 in California's Northern
District Court, reads. "The Content infringes Activision's exclusive
rights under copyright law. Specifically, it infringes Activision's
rights in its popular video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare."
- AI-enhanced ESRGAN HD Texture Packs released for Thief Gold,
Thief II & Thief 2X - Created by modder Akven, these packs aim
to overhaul the low-resolution textures for both Thief Gold and Thief
2. Akven has upscaled the textures using manga109 and mymanga109
models. Moreover, he used two of his own models that he trained
specifically for these two titles. Thanks to these AI techniques, Akven
was able to sharpen the textures. Naturally, these new HD textures also
retain the art style of the original game, something that most Thief

and more that it is bringing to PAX East 2020, which will run from
