  • Over 10,000 Steam Accounts Banned - The latest Steam news update reports on some bans that Valve made to some Steam accounts: New Valve Anti-Cheat technology caught a few people cheating in Counter-Strike: Source and other games this week -- over 10,000. VAC detects anyone using cheat software and permanently bans their Steam account. We expect to see a surge of forum posts laying blame squarely at the feet of "my little brother."
  • The Ship patched - Also of note is word that a new single player version of Outerlight's Source engine powered action game The Ship will be released on Monday, Nov. 20.  An extensive list of changes and bug-fixes are included in the new version.
  • RACE Steam Preorders - Valve also announced that RACE, SimBin's World Touring Car Championship game (intro trailer), is now preloading on Steam, with discounted preorders underway. Those who pre-order the game before it is made available on November 24th will save 10% off the $44.95 the regular price
  • City Life: World Edition announced - This edition features the updated game, new maps, over 100 new buildings, famous landmarks from across the globe and a built-in content editor.
  • Armed Assault movie  - Bohemia Interactive has released a new movie trailer for Armed Assault to show off their contemporary tactical first-person shooter that was just released in their home country. This high-res trailer demonstrates the game in four minutes of combat footage from a variety of battles. If you want to see more (fanmade) movies then check out this post on the official site. The game has already been released in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. A release in more Western regions will happen in the first quarter of 2007.
  • Devil May Cry 4 - Trailer - In Devil May Cry 4 Capcom's gunslinging demon hunter Dante is back, but this fourth chapter will introduce a new hero, Nero, who possesses a demonic arm that can pull in enemies or use them as projectiles.
  • Mass Effect - Gameplay Trailer -  Joystick has an unaired MTV Mass Effect video up on their site. The same video can also be found on FileFront.
  • French Silverfall Demo - The Silverfall website now features a playable French demo for Monte Cristo's upcoming fantasy-themed RPG. The 975MB demo allows you to play the game up to level 14 in both the nature and techno alignments, and recruit up to two companions, but it's entirely in French so be prepared for some guesswork. Mirrors: 3D Gamers, FileFront (+hi-res textures pack), GH, and WP.
  • Warhammer Online Vault Launches - The Warhammer Online Vault is now live covering Mythic's upcoming massively multiplayer game. To kick things off they have a video interview with WAR Design Manager Paul Barnett.
  • Rainbow Six Vegas MP Demo Released on Xbox Live Marketplace - Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas MP demo has been released and ready for download. The demo weighs in at a hefty 978MB.
  • PS3 US version- first impressions - Mazoku has posted his impressions of the PS3: "Since I recently had purchased the 360 (D'oh, I keep mentioning it) HD-DVD player, I wanted to see how the two mediums stacked up. King Kong was jaw-droppingly cool. I think Sony should have used a more visual film to promote Blu-ray. The Blu-ray image was much clearer than DVD, but not as sharp as HD-DVD. I'm thinking that it's just the movie instead of the format. The uncompressed audio is a dream."
  • Trading Standards investigates PS3 imports - Sony has told MCV that it has begun taking action against grey market importers, after 'entrepreneurs' began selling hundreds of Japanese PS3 units in the UK.
  • MP3 player comes to European DS - It will be available in the UK on December 8, also like the Wii, for 20 GBP (not like the Wii). It will hit the rest of Europe on the same day for 30 euro. No North American release plans were announced.

Hahahahahahaha! Good. 10,000 more and that would cover it. Strangely a few I know that cheat just for the fun of it, still continue to play. Funny but shows how thorough Valve is. :roll:

P.S. And considering I test HL2 cheats for my own benefit/knowledge. I am not banned. Again, says a lot for the bans. Guess another lame marketing tactic by Valve to feebly show they crack down on cheaters.

Pure and simple, play FPS' with private groups of people you can trust and cheating will not be an issue.
Clan wars? make sure you've got plenty of spectators :lol:
xxxx, I'm assuming you test the cheats to know how they work? which is fair enough; knowledge will weed them out.

I don't only test em, I send all information to the respective game makers.

I have friends who believe it's comical and typically state it's the sole reason why they play FPS. They'd be bored without them and naturally the pleasure of pissing people off.

This news, to me, is some mere form of marketing to try and lure more idiots to play HL2 and a lame attempt from Valve to show they care. What is NEEDED is people to do HL2 sites and solicit these cheats until Valve fesses up about cheats and actually really cares about fixing them.

if Valve cant even stop Source Industries.. that pretty much tells you what they can do about ANYTHING.
