- Inferno Interview -
FiringSquad has posted an interview with FXLabs CEO Tony Garcia as he
talks about
Inferno, upcoming action-adventure title for the PC that's
currently due out in 2007. Inferno is loosely based on the classic epic
Dante’s Inferno (AKA The Devine Comedy). The setting has been given a more
contemporary edge, and revolves around a mother who finds her daughter
murdered. In a moment of extreme desperation when she is about to end her
own life, Amanda is approached by a mysterious figure that offers her the
chance to rescue her daughter from somewhere in the nine circles of hell.

- Underground Fighting revealed - Play Publishing revealed
Underground
Fighting, an upcoming fighting game that takes you in the world of
illegal fights and dirty alleys where no sane person dare to tread. The game
should be released in December 2006 (Europe).
- X3: Reunion 2.0 Announced -
Enlight announced the development of X3: Reunion 2.0, an updated version
of the award-winning X3: Reunion released earlier this year. X3: Reunion 2.0
adds many new features to the original X3: game while alleviating the issues
that were a barrier to some players. Available in November in DVD format,
X3: Reunion 2.0 features no Starforce protection, enabling more players
to access the game without the potential performance issues of the copy
protection.
- Civilization IV: Warlords Patch v2.0 - 2K Games has now
officially released
the first patch for Civilization IV: Warlords, bringing the
history-spanning 3D turn-based strategy expansion pack by Firaxis to version
2.08.
- Stronghold Legends Patch v1.1 -
The first patch for Stronghold: Legends has been released, updating the
recent strategy game from Firefly Studios and 2K Games to version 1.1 and
incorporating a number of bug fixes.
- 1701 A.D. ships (US) - Aspyr Media announced shipments have
commenced for
1701 A.D., the North American edition of Related Designs'
strategy/management sequel known elsewhere as ANNO 1701
- Red Orchestra Booster Pack Released - Steam News has word that
the promised free booster pack for Red Orchestra is now automatically
available via Steam. The booster pack includes a new map, new vehicles, G15
keyboard support, ROTV game spectating, new camuflage skins and more.
- The Secret Files: Tunguska ships (US) - The Adventure Company
announces the North American availability of
The Secret Files: Tunguska.
- Unreal Anthology ships - Midway Games announced
it has
shipped Unreal Anthology, a catalog of premium Unreal PC titles,
including critically acclaimed and top–selling titles, Unreal Tournament and
the original Unreal.
- The Ship Free Weekend - The Ship, a massively mysterious thriller
(MMT) from Outerlight Ltd, is scheduled for a free four-day tour of the full
game, open to everyone via
Steam, the leading
online distribution platform. The free play period begins at 1 p.m. PDT on
Thursday and ends at 1 p.m. PDT on Sunday. You must have a Steam account to
download and play The Ship.
- Natural Selection 2.0 Goes Commerical - Unknown Worlds announced
that it is officially developing
Natural Section 2 as
a commerical product.
- Viva Pinata Goes Gold (Xbox 360) -
The Microsoft Gamerscore blog site reports that the Xbox 360 kids game
Viva Pinata has gone gold. The game from developer Rare will ship to stores
on Nov. 9.
- Halo 3 Pre-Orders On Gamestop (Xbox 360) - The game may be
a year away but
Gamestop is already taking pre-orders for Halo 3, the long awaited Xbox
360 first person shooter from Bungie and Microsoft.
