- Mass Effect PC Q&A -
C&VG has posted a Q&A with Matt Atwood of BioWare as he talks about the
upcoming PC edition of Mass Effect.
- Sims 3 Officially Announced -
This press release from Electronic Arts offers up more info on the
recently revealed plans for The Sims 3, the next game in the mega-selling
life sim series. The game should be available sometime in 2009. Described as
a "next-generation flagship PC game," The Sims 3 features a new seamless
open neighborhood along with expanded options and a more realistic aesthetic
for both character and home customization. Characters can now be assigned up
to five personality traits, which EA claims allows allows over 700 million
possible personality combinations.
- Commander: Europe at War Patch v1.06 - Matrix Games now features
a new patch for Commander: Europe at War, updating the World War II
strategy game to version 1.06. The patch includes a large number of
improvements, ranging from a 30% increase in frame rates and reduced loading
and selection times to scores of balance tweaks and changes.
- Frontlines v2.0 CoD 4 Mod Released -
Frontlines mod
brings 3 brand new gametypes to Call of Duty 4, plus a smart spawn
protection to avoid the spawn killing. Word is: "Come with nice new features
like Hajas Invert Sides & Hajas Server Spam and also a brand new 2 in 1
gametype called Commander, which can be transformed into a VIP gametype with
a single flag. The new gametype will be great for clan matches in the
future, with a lot more flexible tactics available to use then [sic] in
Search & Destroy."

- Sins of a Solar Empire Patch Plans - The official Sins of a
Solar Empire website has
news
on upcoming two patches, saying their current plan is for a version 1.04
patch, which "will contain some balancing updates based on player feedback,
more computer AI updates, and other game play tweaking." This will be
followed by a version 1.1 patch which "will be a more significant update
providing a considerable overhaul of the multiplayer system with more
features and updated networking code to make it more robust under a whole
series of circumstances."

Interactive and dtp Entertainment today announced that
Overclocked: A History of Violence, their psychological thriller
Adventure game for the PC, has gone gold. Created by award-winning developer
House of Tales Entertainment, this highly anticipated Adventure game on PC
DVD-ROM will begin shipping to major retail stores across Canada and the
U.S. on March 31, 2008 and is scheduled to release on May 2, 2008 in the
United Kingdom and Scandinavia terrirories.
- Galactic Command: KnightBlade Announced - 3000AD announces
development of
Galactic Command: KnightBlade, the next installment in the Galactic
Command series is scheduled for a Q2 2009 release on PCs and unspecified
console systems
- Imperium Romanum Released - SouthPeak Games today announced that
'Imperium Romanum'
is now available in North America. Imperium Romanum lets PC players
revisit Rome’s most epic conquests, following its ascent into history.

- Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack Hits April 15 - Microsoft has
announced that the second downloadable map pack for Bungie's Halo 3 will
arrive on April 15 ($10). At that time, the previously released Heroic Map
Pack will, according to Microsoft, become a free download.
