The April issue of OXM
is now making its way to subscribers in the US as we speak. The cover
story features a number of new areas and also features a host of new screens
from different parts of the game, including new areas, new creatures/NPCs,
weapons, etc
- Deadliest Catch Game Announced - Seattle based game publisher
Greenwave and developer Liquid Dragon Studios have announced plans to
release
Deadliest Catch, a PC-Xbox 360 game based on the Discovery Channel
TV series that chronicles how fisherman in the Bering Sea outside of Alaska
do their job amidst potentially hazardous conditions. The game is scheduled
to be released in April.
- Dracula 3 Revealed - This
Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon Product Section (trailer)
reveals this vampire-themed adventure game in development at Kheops Studio.
- Sam & Max 204: Chariots of the Dogs Announced - Telltale Games
today revealed
Chariots of the Dogs as the fourth episode in season two of the Sam &
Max series, to debut on March 13 on

- Dark Sector Multiplayer Details - Slated to arrive on PlayStation
3 and Xbox 360 on March 25,
Dark
Sector supports up to ten players. The Infection mode pits slower-moving
soldier-class players against one super-powered foe, while Epidemic has two
teams facing off against in an attempt to assassinate the other's sole
super-powered combatant. A total of five maps will be available at launch,
with the game's multiplayer playable via online or LAN play
- Storked v1.2 Demo - Graduate Games has released
an updated demo of
Storked, their PC puzzle/platforming game, with over 100 challenging
levels, 4 unique penguins to control, 6 wacky gadgets to utilize, and easy
to learn gameplay.
- Eternal Silence Beta Trailer (HL2 mod) -
In its current state Eternal Silence seems to be moulding itself (homepage)
in the image of the Freespace and Descent games, with a dash of homegrown

website now offers
a new patch for Depths of Peril, updating the action/RPG to version
1.009
- Crysis Weekly Update (1.2 Patch, Linux Server) -
Topics on the table include: a dev update on the mod SDK, a status
report on the dedicated Linux server, additional patch v1.2 changes and more
- Turning Point: Fall of Liberty Ships - Codemasters sent out a
press release announcing that
Turning Point:
Fall of Liberty is shipping in the US for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3, with
the UK retail release of the alternate-history shooter slated for March 14
- Valve Looking Into Adding Video Media To Steam Downloads -
According to this interview, the PC game giant is looking in to using
their Steam download on demand service to debut video and TV media. Valve
has promised that the pilot/debut material for the new video service should
be up by the end of the year
- UT3 Lego Map for PS3 - The custom content is just starting to
appear for the PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Tournament 3.

Taylor said that the PC gaming industry needs to embrace new business models
which sidestep piracy concerns to survive. "PC gaming isn't dead. PC
gaming-the old model- probably is," Taylor told GamesIndustry at GDC.
"Secure PC gaming is the future-it's going to thrive and we've all got to
get on that," Taylor suggested that server-based and
online-authenticated gaming proves to be the most successful business model
in an industry fraught with piracy. The developer envisioned an industry in
which data would be accessed from a central server rather than directly from
the user's PC
