seems to figure prominently in the upcoming game.

C&VG has posted an interview with producer Shane Dabiri and game designer
Jeffrey Kaplan as they talk about the history of WoW and its most memorable
moments.

id Software developing new creative property -
Kikizo Games's recent interview with John Carmack revealed that "they we
are working internally on a completely new project, but we haven't made any
firm plans yet for the future of the Wolf, Doom and Quake franchises".

The Lord of the Rings: the Battle for Middle-Earth II hi-res movie -
EA has released
a partially new movie trailer for The Lord of the Rings: the Battle for
Middle-Earth II. This is a high-definition variant of last Summer's first
trailer that includes an additional minute of footage.

Commandos Strike Force shots - Tiscali Games has
some
new high-res screenshots of
Commandos: Strike Force, the upcoming World War II squad-based FPS by Pyro
Studios.
- World of Warcraft retail full patches v1.9.0 - Blizzard
Entertainment has now issued
full version v1.9.0
patches for World of Warcraft to update the US, UK, German and French

- Galactic Dream demo & demo patch v1.17 -
A new patch for the demo of Galactic Dream has been released, bringing the
sample of Evolution Vault's 3D space-based real-time strategy game to version
1.17.
- Ankh German Demo -
A new Ankh German demo is now available, offering the chance to sample
DECK13 Interactive's recently released adventure game.
- Microsoft Flight Sim X Revealed -
The cover
for the new February 2006 issue of PC Gamer magazine reveals that the
issue will have the first info on Microsoft Flight Simulator X, the upcoming
and latest game in Microsoft's long running and popular civilian fight sim
game series. The game will be released
later this year.
- Vin Diesel's Tigon Studio Projects -
In
addition to the previously announced crime action game Perrone and the
tactical action game Secret Service,
the site also has
mentioned of Melkor, an action-RPG that's described as a "hardcore mature
take on Zelda 64" and Barca B.C., an action-RTS game based on the real
military leader Hannibal who lead attacks against ancient Rome. There is no
word on actual developers or release dates for the games.
- Aspyr To Publish Dreamfall -
Aspyr Media sent out a
press release announcing they will be the US publisher for
Dreamfall: The Longest
Journey, the upcoming adventure game sequel from Funcom. The game is
slated for release for both the PC and Xbox this spring.
- Twilight War cancelled - Smiling Gator Productions has
announced that the company has run out of funds and will be shut down
shortly, effectively cancelling their Source-powered post-apocalyptic online
action role-playing game, Twilight War: After the Fall.
- 10 Million Nintendo DS Consoles Sold -
Nintendo has sold 10 million units of its Nintendo DS portable console
worldwide since it's launch in November 2004.
