Half-Life 2: Episode 2 - Xbox 360 images
  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky Q&A - PCHardware has a Q&A with Igor Lobanchikov, Lead Graphics Programmer talking about S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky. He said: "We are going to add the support of DX10 API, however, I can't currently tell you anything specific, even if it would be supported at all. It's massive work to be done and experiments are being carried out as we speak.''
  • Epic Confirms No Unreal Tournament 3 PC-to-PS3 Online - An IRC chat conducted yesterday featuring numerous members of Epic's UT3 team, Epic VP Mark Rein finally confirmed that the game will not feature cross-platform multiplayer--at least at launch. "The biggest challenge in doing cross platform play is syncronizing [sic] the builds such that the build on the PC is 100% compatible with the build on the PS3," said Rein.
  • HL2 Episode 2 May Be End Of Episodic Releases For Valve - According to C&VG and a recent interview they've done with Gabe Newell, Half-Life 2: Episode 3 may be the last attempt at an episodic release schedule. Gabe said: "I think what we really want to do is have a couple of examples out there - Episode One, and how long it was to play and how long it took to develop, Episode Two, Portal and TF2 and then the third part of the trilogy; and then sit down with the community and say, 'OK, so what do you want?''
  • Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts Patch v2.101 -  Relic Entertainment has released a patch that updates the Opposing Fronts expansion pack to version 2.101.
  • World of Warcraft Patch v2.2.0 - This is the most recent patch from Blizzard Entertainment for World of Warcraft. This patch includes Voice Chat functionality, Chat Channels, and more much listed below in more information. The manual version of the US patch is available on 3DGamers, FileFront, FileShack, GH and Strategy Infomer.
  • Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts Ships - THQ sent out a press release announcing Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts has shipped for the PC platform. The expansion adds two new armies and vastly enhanced multiplayer options. The game is now available at major retail outlets worldwide.
  • The Settlers: Rise of an Empire Ships - Ubisoft announced that The Settlers: Rise of an Empire is now available in the US, offering the sixth installment in Blue Byte's strategy/management series:  The Settlers Rise of an Empire is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older and has an MSRP of $49.99.
  • World Series of Poker 2008: Battle for the Bracelet Ships - Activision announces the release for World Series of Poker 2008: Battle for the Bracelets for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, and DS.
  • Ultima Online10th anniversary - EA has announced that they will be holding several events in Ultima Online to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary and Kingdom Reborn, the recent update to UO.
  • Empire Earth III Dated, Pre-Orders This Week - Sierra Entertainment announced that Empire Earth III, the third iteration of the popular multi-million unit selling Empire Earth series will be shipping this November to PC. In related news, Gamestop has announced a special pre-order offer
  • Tabula Rasa Beta - The Tabula Rasa Beta on FilePlanet Page is now accepting sign-ups to beta test Tabula Rasa, in spite of the fact that Destination Games' MMORPG has already been declared gold. This beta seems open to registered users and not just paid subscribers, and this page has details on how those who pre-order in North America can earn 10 days of free gameplay.
  • Five PC Gaming Myths -  If you're a long-time PC gamer, you've heard it all before. Your favorite gaming platform is dying, and it's all about the consoles now. After all, gaming on the PC is too expensive. It's too complicated and unreliable. The sales just aren't there. All the cool games are on consoles. PCs are fine for World of Warcraft, but everything else is better played on a console, unless you're a diehard competitive first-person shooter nut :-)
  • Halo 3 Experiencing Online Issues - Reports flooding in from around the internet indicate that problems with Halo 3 are preventing at least some, if not most, from playing the recently released title online.
  • Microsoft Replacing Buggered Halo 3 Discs For Free - Is your Collector's Edition Halo 3 disc scratched? If so, you can now replace it for free, but be prepared for a two week wait

The demo is coming soon, so prepare yourself to fight the monstrosities of Clive Barker's Jericho!

Just had to laugh at this quote:

http://tech.uk.msn.com/features/article.aspx?cp-documentid=6247785

quote:
Halo 3 is officially the biggest media launch of all time, breezing past the Spiderman 3 film and the last Harry Potter book with 24-hour sales amounting to more than $170 million in the United States alone.

What absolute bull!!

Customer: "Two for Spiderman 3 the movie please"
Sales Clerk: "That will be £80 please".....don't think so

Neither will you find folk in queues for a Harry potter book costing £40 EACH!!

M$ talk out their ego inflated BUTTS!!

miglaugh(04:21 AM CEST - Sep,29 2007 )
Are you fucking serious?

80 Pounds?

You brits get fucked hand over fist when it comes to any entertainment content. You can take your high exchange rate and suck it because it doesn't help you one bit.

gx-x(02:11 PM CEST - Sep,29 2007 )
he meant that in different context. Hallo3 is 40 pounds, so people would have to get in very long line to top the 170 million $ in just a week, which are compared to spiderman 3 and harry potthead boks, point is: people don't stand in long lines for 40 pounds products, you wouldn't watch spiderman 3 if ticket was 40 pounds (standing in line for consoles are different story (I find that humiliating) but ppl obviosly do it, so I guess if they stod in line for 500$ x-rod 360, they will stand in line for 80$ hallo 3 also...)

PS I writte "haLLo" on purpose with two l's :) I'd rather buy rayman than halo, and I hate rayman :D

cheers !

Sabot(05:01 PM CEST - Oct,05 2007 )
