Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath
  • Medal of Honor: Airborne Interview - FiringSquad has conducted an interview with EALA game designer Rex Dickson to find out more about their plans for Medal of Honor: Airborne. Most interesting part is about non-linear game play: "It all starts with the drop. As you enter each mission (and when you re-spawn after death) you will parachute into the map and be able to choose any starting point in the mission space. From there, the player can go in any direction they want. They can leave a fight in progress at any time. They can get on top of buildings or scaffolding, they can get behind enemy lines and they can find flanking routes. While you can be old fashioned and play right down the line, Airborne is at its best when players get creative with their tactics."
  • id Software Q&A - Steve Nix talking about what's up at id Software, touching on who might publish Rage, digital distribution, increasing the id staff, Quake Zero, and more.
  • Far Cry 2 Developer Video Diary - Art Director Alex Amancio talks (download) about the new engine that supports both DirectX 9 and 10, incredible wind effects, and the immense destructible environments
  • Black Sky Movies - The Black Sky Video Page offers two new clips from this independently developed space game that hopes to follow in the footsteps of Star Flight
  • Space Siege Trailer - Sega's official Space Siege site has a new story/cinematic trailer you can stream or download.
  • Tabula Rasa Trailer - The introductory movie for Tabula Rasa is now available
  • Combat Mission: Shock Force Paradox Patch - Paradox Interactive now offers the new version 1.02 patch for their edition of Combat Mission: Shock Force.
  • Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath Official Press Release  - Electronic Arts has now issued the official press release for Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, the upcoming PC-Xbox 360 expansion pack to their best selling RTS game. Both versions are due out in spring 2008.
  • D3 Publishing Signs Deal With Illusion Softworks - D3 Publishing has signed a new publishing deal with European based developer Illusion Softworks for an all new game title that will be released in the fall of 2008 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms. Illusion Softworks has been out of the spotlight for some time; several years ago it released a number of highly regarded games such as the Hidden and Dangerous WWII shooter series along with the 1930's crime game Mafia
  • Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Beta Servers - The Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars website now offers downloads of the server files for the public beta of Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, the multiplayer shooter in the works at Splash Damage.
  • Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts Beta - In case you're interested, FilePlanet has some beta keys (memb.only) to play Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts.
  • Synergy 2.5 Coming Friday (HL2 mod) - The Half-Life 2 co-op multiplayer modification Synergy is right around the corner, releasing Beta 2.5 on Friday, August 17, 2007. This next update will include multi-passenger vehicles, dynamic vehicle spawns, the Half-Life 2 campaign (up to Nova Prospekt), an alpha version of their Linux package, and of course bug fixes.
  • Bioshock PC demo by August 21 - The Cult of Rapture reports that the PC demo will be released on August 21. Unfortunately for many of us, it seems that it will debut only on FilePlanet.
  • Interplay plans Fallout MMO - Resurgent US publisher Interplay has said it is working on Fallout Online, a game that will play a key role in its future plans. The comments were made in a money-matters talk by big cheese Harvey Caen, who boasted double the amount of profits over this time last year.
  • Fallout 3: Send in your questions - According to the Bethblog, they're getting ready to open up the devs to answering Fallout 3 questions from the community
  • Overlord To Get Multiplayer Split-Screen - Codemasters announced that they would be showing some split-screen multiplayer for Overlord, their recent "playing as the bad guy" strategy-action-RPG from developer Triumph Studios. The new feature will be added to the Xbox 360 version of the game via a free update; there's no word on when the update will be released nor if the PC version will get the update.
  • Epic's Mark Rein pleased with Blu-ray's 'legroom' - Much like a psychotic chainsaw killer, Epic vice president Mark Rein has expressed satisfaction with being given more room to store all those legs. While talking up first-person fragger Unreal Tournament 3 at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival, Rein praised the PlayStation 3 disc format's large storage capacity, noting that "we may have fewer maps on the 360 version...Blu-ray has definitely given us a lot of legroom."
  • Lost Odyssey Xbox360 Preview - Lost Odyssey, the stunning looking RPG that is being developed over at Mistwalker, was previewed by C&VG. Unfortunately, the game is looking more and more like your standard Japanese RPG, gameplay wise.
  • USA Today like Madden 360 over Madden PS3 - On the surface, the releases on 360 and PlayStation 3 look identical. However, when you stack them head-to-head, it's clear which is better. Madden on 360 is fast and fluid, thanks to a sharp jump in frame rate that allows the game to move twice as fast. PS3 owners, unfortunately, are greeted with a Madden that is sluggish in comparison. Action stutters far too often, particularly on injuries, penalties and turnovers. There's also a half-second delay between pressing the hike button and receiving the ball in your hands.
  • BioShock Xbox 360 Demo Video Walkthrough - PixelRage has Bioshock video walkthrough trailer.
  • HDMI Equipped 360 Premiums Not 65nm - The good news is that the new HDMI equipped Xbox 360s feature the added GPU cooling (heatpipe and added heatsink) we showed you a while back. The bad news is that they do not have the new 65nm processors yet
  • Uwe Boll Curses Out Wired's Review Of His Postal Movie - Uwe Boll isn't happy with Wired's review of Postal

Getting very tired of FilePlanet and all the crap that goes with them.
