Warren Spector Leaves ION Storm? - briefly

Shacknews claims that multiple sources inform them that ION Storm (Deus Ex & Thief 3), the Austin Texas-based developer has laid off 20-25 employees. That's not all though as Warren Spector is said to be leaving the company as well. Other sites have confirmed with Eidos that people have been let go, though Eidos denies that Spector is going anywhere. It looks like people leaving/being laid off is just the start of it, as the company is also changing names..and going PS2 development only.
Update: Apparently, the PS2 rumour is incorrect, although "PS2 will be added to the list of consoles that the forthcoming title will be developed for".

too late Warren, you damaged your reputation already with releasing Deus Ex 2. If there will ever be plans for System Shock 3 and they try to go the way of Deus Ex 2 (with all the false promises of free choice, and basic interface blablabla), dont do it. Save us the dissapointment.

It doesnt matter its not true Warren himself just confirmed that he still works for ION Storm.

PS2 only? First thought: anything that hurts Microsoft is good for the industry. Second thought: Ion only made one good PC game in its whole sorry existence, so make all the PS2 you wanna, boys.

PS2 only, that just tells you that they know they make crappy games and the only way people is going to buy there crap is to sell it on ps2 because there's more morons who own a ps2.

The sole reason that ION and them all go console now is for money. It's just to churn out mass produced junk on all formats then do the PR bit and say it's 'all unique' etc. Then you buy it al Deus Ex: IW and it's just standard console crap aimed at the masses! If it's too slow then it bombs, so they turn DE2 into a 'shoot 'em up' to please the kiddies. Please Warren go jump in a lake
