An ability for the scarabs also now applies to the Crypt fiends (if you purchase it from the Crypt): they can burrow into the ground for surprise attacks. The Undead player can see the burrow marks, but the enemy cannot. Units that are burrowed also heal at a faster rate. Pardo said these units are good for scouting and surveillance in that you can burrow units all over the map and be able to what is going on in that area.

The two new units for the Undead are variations of one unit, the Obsidian Statue. The statue is a mechanical unit built from the Slaughterhouse. It has an Aura of Regeneration that heals units and also replenishes mana like a mobile moonwell. Pardo said the unit is meant to be a support unit, much like the Kodo Beast for the Orcs. "You shouldn't see too many of these running around the battlefield," Pardo said.
