Blizzard has released another new
screenshots of WarCraft III:
Reign of Chaos, their hopefully "soon to be released" 3D role-playing RTS
game. If you are courious what going on with that Warcraft III beta, Blizzard has already released a patch for the Warcraft III beta (7.62MB), over on their FTP. Here is more details from WarcraftIII.net:
Blizzard Entertainment has taken the next step toward the completion of their real-time strategy game, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, by Fed Ex’ing beta CDs to testers. Over 100,000 people entered and approximately 5,000 people were randomly selected to participate. The beta includes all of the game’s races, units, and heroes; however, it is playable only through Battle.net. Excluded from the beta are the single-player mode, multiplayer LAN games, all cinematic sequences, computer opponents, the campaign editor, saving and loading, and several Battle.net features. The principal purpose of the beta is to test game balance and the anonymous matchmaking functionality on Battle.net. |
