posted an interview
with Zombie's John Williamson as he talks about Wanted: Dead or Alive, their in-development LithTech engine powered
Western action game. Here is a snip:
HomeLAN: What will Wanted: Dead or Alive feature in terms of settings and enviroments?
John Williamson: The player will travel West across the country from Missouri to California in the years right after the Civil War. Exploring ghost towns and abandoned mines, traveling by Train and Steamboat, into Indian country and across the Rio Grande into Mexico, up into the high Sierras to trade with Mountain Men and into small towns to hunt down bank robbers or rob banks your self. Picking sides in range wars and honing your card playing skills, or your ability to cheat.
Many of the missions to be somewhat open ended with branching missions based on your choices. These choices will follow you in subsequent missions. For example, you ride into a small town, at the Salon you over hear that the bank is to robbed. You can either help out the sheriff and protect the bank, or join the outlaws and rob the bank. If you rob the bank, you will be branded an outlaw, which may make several missions further down the road more difficult as the towns people won't help you out, but you may find that the extra money you made robbing the bank will allow you to buy better weapons.
