German publisher KOCH Media has
announced Voodoo Islands, a
new action arcade game for PC and PS2 from the Stuttgart based developer SPIRIT. In the
game, you will assume the role of a pirates captain who has to fight with his crew against
hostile buccaneers, cannibals, and the omnipresent occupying power of the conquistadors.
While a first look of the game will be shown at the E3, the PC version of the game should be available in November 2002.
- Live the life of a cutthroat pirate captain, looting bounty and bringing terror to the
tropical Caribbean seas.
- Develop your own tactics to survive and outwit the never relenting fleets of the
Conquistadors, other pirate gangs and the mystical Voodoo Cannibal Witch.
- Muster a ruthless pirate fleet of up to four captains and crews under your direct
control. Take your fleet into battle against friends – Up to 8 players LAN /
Internet.
- Immerse yourself in the highly detailed 3D graphics, with realistic navigation and
destruction of your sailing vessel.
- Progress through 20 intense action quests, each enriched with sub quests. Loot treasure,
discover precious artefacts, defeat the cannibal horde.
