German publisher KOCH Media has announced Voodoo Islands, a new action arcade game for PC and PS2 from the Stuttgart based developer SPIRIT. In the game, you will assume the role of a pirates captain who has to fight with his crew against hostile buccaneers, cannibals, and the omnipresent occupying power of the conquistadors. While a first look of the game will be shown at the E3, the PC version of the game should be available in November 2002.

Live the life of a cutthroat pirate captain, looting bounty and bringing terror to the tropical Caribbean seas.

Develop your own tactics to survive and outwit the never relenting fleets of the Conquistadors, other pirate gangs and the mystical Voodoo Cannibal Witch.

Muster a ruthless pirate fleet of up to four captains and crews under your direct control. Take your fleet into battle against friends – Up to 8 players LAN / Internet.

Immerse yourself in the highly detailed 3D graphics, with realistic navigation and destruction of your sailing vessel.

Progress through 20 intense action quests, each enriched with sub quests. Loot treasure, discover precious artefacts, defeat the cannibal horde.
