GameSpy is reporting that Hollywood star Vin Diesel announced his plans to form Tigon Games and develop an action-adventure game titled Perrone. Here is a bit:

On a recent teleconference to discuss the impending New Year's Day launch of xXx on DVD, the self-avowed geek announced plans to form Tigon Games, his very own videogame company. "So many people had been approaching me to attach my name to this kind of project lately, I figured the time was right to get out there and do something on my own," says the enigmatic entrepreneur. As for what exactly that "something" encompasses, he promises ongoing developments across every genre for all top console platforms will soon be underway.

Not sure who approached him about making his own video game company, if even true at all. But this is just like everyone once they get fame, they think that they can get in anything and win. And now this he acts like creating video games is a simple buisness, and tossing in some cash will make him even richer. Guess some people need to toss away some money before they realize there not jack's of all trades. Except maybe Paul Newmnan with his Salad dressing's lol.

You know I agree, some companies go year's without creating a good game and getting some recognition. Look at Squaresoft, It's a good game idea that builds it not someone stars name. But one guy wakes up one day and thinks he can just jump in a be some kind of success. Kind of insulting people think gamers have such bad taste, and will buy something because of someone famous own's the company.

Plus he wants to encompass all area's of the market? Hah That's like a tire company selling TV dinners and nuclear weapons. Not many companies can do ALL if even one well. I feel like the gaming world is going back to the days were every hack with cash and half an idea tries to make a lame video game. Thus crowding the market with crap and more crap. This is just as bad as Jennifer Lopez' acting in Annaconda, ir Britney Spears in that one god awful movie or even worse Mariah Carrey in Glitter ::cringes:: lol. What's next for Vin Diesel? Is he gonna start up his own line of feminine products LoL. Why dont these people leave big buisness to professionals.

ppl his games r not gonna b aimed at the experience HARDCORE gamers outhere its for the "teenage i have $20 to spend a week and don’t know what to do with it mental attitude" as for Vin Bin the guy cant act he been nurtured by the HOLLOYWOOD mafia to make a killing on him then dump him when another TEENAGE hormone jerking marketing junkie comes along, oh CAPATALISIM and MARKETING this proves the DEVIL EXISTS !
