Czech developers Pterodon and Illusion Softworks have released a multiplayer demo of Vietcong (download), their upcoming Vietnam war shooter. The demo weighs 71MB and offers Death Match, Capture the Flag, and Protect the Pilot gameplay modes for up to 32 players, it's not mentioned how many levels are included. Mirrors: 3DGamers, WorthPlaying, FileShack and Tiscali Games.

Such a dis-appointment, screenshots as usual make a sub-standard fps seem like its pushing the boundaries... Everything feels around two years too late, awful weapon models, truely hilarious character models, suspect collision detection, no real-life physics to be seen... And it was supposed to be realistic? LOL Very, very poor :(

I always get disconnected from server with error "connection lost". Theres major lag, collison detection is a joke, me and 3 other guys spawned at same place at the same time. Graphics are ok, nothing spectacular. Until they get rid of some major bugs, this game sucks.

Really sucky, despite having cable internet access I generally like to try these type of games by just making a local server and running around for a bit, but piece of crap crashed everytime... so I uninstalled it before even getting to play one second, how is that for a quality piece of game.

You can't expect a piece of art like ID Software makes them.. not everybody is a genius you know; thought to make games like these you really need to be smart so don't complain just don't play if you don't like it. I myself like the game very much, the way they created the levels is awsome, it's really quite hard to play ^_^. The only downside I see now is the fact that the levels aren't quite that big.. it's hard to find nice sniper places. I was actually dreaming that they would finally create a game like this when everybody owned those real virtual reality helmets and goodies.. ; you really get lost in this game sometimes haha.

i think its a pretty good game i had to turn everything on low to play, i sometimes turn off sound and it plays really good, i like gore the best its the only game that i have played with almost no lag if your like me with 56k and want a game like this with no lag get GORE.

Nice Game,I got no lag at all,Runs Perfectly,and i think the Americians is right to kill the Vietnamese,they should have kill more.
