Jonric: What have you done to foster the "fun and engaging" feeling you noted earlier? What level of importance will combat have within the overall gameplay? Leonard Boyarsky: We've tried to include as much variety and uniqueness in the combat system as possible, whether it's seeing your opponent fly across the room because of the force you hit him with, or successfully accomplishing a stealth kill, or feeding on one of your opponents to replenish your blood and then turning another of your enemies berserk so he attacks everything in sight. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. Combat plays quite a central role in Bloodlines, as you would expect from an action RPG. But that's not to say there aren't alternate paths to avoid combat, whether it be through social skills or stealth. However, there are places in the game where you will have no choice but to use your vampiric powers to dispatch your enemies in a violent manner.
