*** VACATION *** HAPPY NEW YEAR! **** - briefly

My dear readers, I'm going on vacation with my family. The last time we were on holiday was over the Christmas holidays, in 2019, before Covid. And then we all know very well what was going on everywhere, lockdowns, lockdowns, lockdowns again. There were moments when you couldn't even go from town to town (you had to have a permit for that). So going on holiday was very complicated and if you had small children it was very discouraging.

I didn't have a chance anyway, I was working non-stop.  I mean I was lucky that I didn't sit and bored at home on social benefits from the state, like many people around, but on the contrary as an IT company I had 3 times as much work, I also manage several schools, so I provided distance learning via Google Workspace everywhere. In addition, even at companies where a VPN and remote desktop were used by a few people, suddenly everyone wanted it, so I just installed laptops, VPN, accounts, etc. Of course, I also had to secure it all sufficiently.

Besides, I've been studying crypto a lot, because it's definitely part of the future, even though it may not look like it yet. Now, for a change, the OpenAI power has come.  It's not quite AI (i.e. it's not alive, it's far from it), but what it can already do today is getting pretty scary. I always thought that AI would help humans, but here it looks like it's going to replace humans! In some areas, I can see it happening.

It just seems like one big mega crazy thing to me. Anyway, I admit I'm absolutely exhausted after 3 years and I really need to recharge my batteries. No computers, no internet, no phone! My brain just needs a break.

So while I'm gone, be nice to Gameguru! If there's anything urgent, I'll be reading my email [email protected] and Twitter from time to time, where I've been quite active for the last few months. I'll start updating Gameguru again on 9.1.2023, which is Monday.

Anyway, I wish everyone a Happy New Year, good health, happiness, love and prosperity. Let's not have any more fucking wars, none of the common people want them, only a few people who want power and money do. After all, everyone on this planet could be doing incredibly well if it weren't for a few idiots.... who unfortunately have the power.

Best thing ever for a complete shutdown. Enjoy the scenery, look up in the trees, smell the air and have a cool beer on a setting sun, wherever. Even with a jacket on :lol:

Enjoy your time off, sounds like it's well deserved.

Problem is, removing idiots from power won't solve anything.
Just another idiot will take control - smart people stay clear from politics, it's for idiots.

Anyhow, happy new year to you and to all of you (gg members) - let's hope armageddon comes much later.

My new year's predictions (or bullshit):
- Putin removed from control and another idiot takes his place. The new idiot and the whole government is overthrown by the people and finally people take control, paving the way for Russia to join the civilized world and begin recovering from the destruction its leaders and oligarchs left behind.
- Trump gets what's been coming for him. Avoids jail at the cost of serious financial losses.
- Elon Musk kills Twitter (at least, in its current form). Elon will make it look like something he's been planning from the beginning.
- US finally realizes they cannot burn massive amounts of fossil fuels without consequences. It's too late for them even though they do start taking steps in the right direction.
- China - having lost Russia as an ally - recognizes Taiwan as an independent country and bans birth control to replenish the vanishing population (due to COVID).
- UK economy is weakened by incompetent government and the inability to deal with immigrants.
- Crypto bubble finally bursts.
- Kim Jong-un becomes severely ill to the point where he will be forced to step down. North Korea misfires a missile, shooting at its own population. Lies will be told.
- Following a civil war, a female-led government is established in Iran.
- An ancient species is discovered in the deep sea. In an attempt to study the species, a disaster will follow.
- The mass exodus on Facebook continues. Mark Zuckerberg finally realizes the investments in the metaverse were huge mistakes and a new leader must be named. The metaverse bubble bursts.
- New leaders are appointed at Apple and Intel as well.

All others died :-(
I like to recall times of 3dfx, many games demos, etc.

I know, sorry. But since covid, I had 3 times as much work as usual and somehow it has lasted until now. I would like to come back to those short summary articles again, even if it is very time-consuming. That is, before some AI replaces me :D :D :D

Traffic is pretty much the same, it depends a lot on Google's algorithms and penalties.
