Free Monkey Interactive has released the 3rd public release of UT:XMP. For those unaware, the mod aims to extend the life of Unreal 2's multiplayer by bringing it to the wide fanbase of UT2004. You can download the latest iteration of UTXMP directly from their website.

In other UT news, the third Ultimate Community Map Pack (called The DM edition) has been released. This relatively small pack contains six new UT2004 maps (4 DM maps, 1 CTF, and 1 AS).

with me being an avid old skool Unreal/Gold/Napali and UT fan, I was disappointed with Unreal 2, UT2003 and UT2004, but from all this mess came the excellent U2XMP, the multiplayer mode of Unreal 2 that never made it to final sales but was released as a downloadable installer afterwards.
glad to see this UT2004 mod is still be worked on, it was one of the only reasons I re-installed UT2004, because the original U2XMP servers are lacking and it would be excellent to see some new blood playing.
for anyone that has never tried this mod or game, either download this or try the original U2XMP.. highly recommended as personally, I think this is one of the best team based games ever created.
