UT 2004 Madness - mod&map

  • Red Orchestra 2.1 Patch - The Red Orchestra team has released the 2.1 patch (60MB) for their UT2004 total conversion. This new patch fixes several bugs and adds a new overhead map feature among other things.
  • Jungle Warfare: Guerilla Operations - Jungle Warfare: Guerrilla Operations Beta 2.0 has been released. You need the latest UT2004 patch (3204) to play, to install: unzip to your UT2004 directory. To Play: activate from the UT2004 Mod menu, or run the JWFLauncher.bat in System.
  • Jailbreak 200X SP1 - The Jailbreak team has released Service Pack 1, which fixes all the bugs which were found in their first release, a week ago.
  • Chaos UT2 3.0 UT2004  -  Chaos UT team released version 3.0 of their great mod.
  • CarBall 1.7 - Carball is a vehicle based gametype for Unreal Tournament 2004. CarBall is similar to soccer but played with vehicles and a big Ball. Using your vehicle you must knock the ball into the opposing teams goal to score points.
  • Flag Domination 3.0 Final  - Flag Domination combines elements of Capture the Flag and Domination: simply touching a control point isn't enough here, you have to capture that flag! Here's how it works: the flags start out in a neutral place, and each flag has a designated spot to be captured by each team. Some maps have two flags, and some have three.
  • Unreal Annihilation 2004 beta 1 - The Unreal Annihilation team has released Beta 1 of their mod for UT2004. This version is just about a direct port of their UT2003 version.
  • Allied CTF UT2004  - The MSUC Phase 2 finalist Allied CTF is availlable. Search for the four orbs scattered about the level at match start. Kill enemy players; take their orbs. As a team, bring all four orbs to the enemy's flag barrier. This unlocks the flag and allows you to try for that score.
  • MonkeyMatrixMoves 2004 v130b - MonkeyMatrixMoves (download) is a combination of two mods: MonkeyMatrix by Adam "MonkeyCircus" Bradley and and APOC MatrixMoves by Rob "[Apoc]Death" Gutermuth. It is packed full of slow motion, backflipping fraggin' fun.
  • UnWheel Beta 3  - The UnWheel team (download) has released Beta 3 of their excellent UT2004 driving mod.
  • New DM maps - Michael Rice, a professional mapper, has released two maps (DM-Refined and  DM-FreneticBurn) for your fragging pleasure.
  • DM-1on1-Samurai - The Arena has a distinct Japanese theme (download), and it is designed for one on one dueling. It's fast paced action and excellent Z-axis Flow make this map HD worthy.
  • Atlantis TC - Atlantis (download) is a former UT Modification, and now a Total Conversion for Unreal Tournament 2004.
  • Slavemaster 1.0  - Slave Master (download) is a free-for-all gametype, like Deathmatch. When a player is killed, they respawn as their killer's slave. Slaves have a ghost-like appearance and cannot receive nor deal damage. When a slave picks up items, they are given to his master and the slave earns "favor." If a slave can earn 100 favor, he has "earned his freedom" and respawns as a player again. Another way for a slave to earn favor is by "tagging" enemy masters. Slaves can shoot a tagging orb by pressing primary fire. Once a player has been tagged, the slave's master can easily see the location of the tagged player. The objective is to enslave every other player in the match.
  • StrangeLove 2004 0.54 (mutator) - StrangeLove 2004 (download) is based on an old but good UT99 modification named StrangeLove as well! The basic idea is that when you alt-fire your redeemer missile launcher you start flying ON the missile, which adds a whole new twist to the game.
  • MapMixer 2.0 (mutator) - MapMixer (download) is a mutator for Unreal Tournament 2004 that gives you extended control over your game by helping to manage the options that maps are invoked with. It allows you to easily personalize settings for each map, including Gametype, Mutators, Player Counts, and Bot Skill. MapMixer provides its own map list system which includes the ability to handle gametypes on a per map basis. Think of it as a configurable extension to the way you use UT2004 in either single player or network games with server and client support.
  • Troopers Storybook Chapter #3 -  UT2004 Troopers team has released the third installment (#1, #2) of their mod's Storybook
  • UTAN Server Security System - UTAN is a free public system to store your UT2004 GUID and IP server bans in such a way that they can be rolled out to all servers under your control automatically.

met a bunch of peeps from my old UT clan all not interested either in Red Orchestra cuz there is no crosshair. Oh well, guess their community is big enough they don't give a crap. It's not because there is no crosshair overall, it's because it's dumb to take it out when people can easily put a transparent stick in the middle of the screen. If you can't ascertain people aren't doing that then I see no logic in removing the crosshair. Whoever came up with idea to remove crosshair in first place, should be shot.

secondary fire has you aiming down the barrel of the gun.. removing the point of having a crosshair... more games should do it like that. on second note.. AirBuccaneers is really great :)

removes the point of a crosshair for "you" buddy. i'm glad you have endless hours to sit there and play a game and figure out crap, i got a family and other responsibilities, i got 3 hours a night to myself. but you probably are of the same ignorance as the developer that we're all 16 with craploads of time on our hands. ya, more should do it so we can put our own crosshairs on the screen with a sticker! good logic. not my problem, all they are doing is limiting their community.
