Gamecloud - What new locations and settings will EverQuest: Depths of Darkhollow have? Craig Knapp - As I mentioned earlier, these zones have a very fantastic feel to them. There is the bright mushroom forest of Corathus Creep contrasted with the great ruined city of Illsalin. We have the mystical setting of Undershore contrasted with The Hive, a dark area covered with webs and the remnants of past victims. The gothic tower of Dreadspire looks down over all of Darhollow and has some of most beautiful architecture in the game. It’s absolutely stunning.
Gamecloud - What can you tell us about how the first full expansion pack, Desert of Flames came about? Scott Hartsman - We wanted to more fully realize this large area that was never completely developed in the original EverQuest. The desert setting made for an excellent place for us to develop new gameplay around Arabian Nights-style themes, blended with our classic fantasy world. Djinn, Viziers, Naga, Orcs, Dragons, Giants. The mix of these themes yields a unique experience.
