- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Gone Gold - EA and Warner Bros
sent out
a press release announcing that the
Harry Potter and the
Goblet of Fire has gone gold and is scheduled for release on November 8,
2005 for the PC, PS2, Xbox, GC, NDS, GBA. The PSP version will be available a
few weeks later.
- Galacticards Goes Gold - Killer Bee Software announced that their
new card-based space strategy game,
Galacticards, has
Gone Gold. The game will be available for $20 via online purchase and download
for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux platforms within the next 24 to 48 hours.
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Gets Pushed To 2006 - Take Two has
released a fiscal report basically stating that Oblivion won't be released
until Feb 2006.
- Wildlife Tycoon: Venture Africa demo/trial - Pocketwatch Games has
released a
playable demo of
Wildlife Tycoon: Venture Africa, allowing you to try out their new 3D
management strategy simulation that's situated in the African Serengeti area.
The 17.3 MB download contains the full content of the game, which can be
played for one hour before expiring.
- The Lord of the Rings: the Battle for Middle-Earth II movie - There
is
a new movie trailer for
The Lord of the Rings: the Battle for Middle-Earth II, revealing more of
the fantasy 3D real-time strategy sequel in production at EA Pacific.
- Hard Truck Apocalypse video - Nival Interactive has released
a new movie
trailer for Hard Truck: Apocalypse, showing more of the futuristic
vehicular combat game with RPG elements.
- Star Wars Battlefront II Server - LucasArts has released
the retail standalone PC server for Star Wars Battlefront II, the sci-fi
3D multiplayer action sequel by Pandemic Studios. Word is: "this includes the
Basic Dedicated Server Manager Application. It also includes two Beta versions
of the much more Enhanced Dedicated Server Manager as well as a Remote Server
application."
- Battlefield 2 Modern Combat video -
This 640x480 video (211MB) shows off many of the vehicles and weapons
available in the now available Battlefield 2 Modern Combat, which is available
for PS2 and Xbox.
- NFS: Underground Servers to Close -
Servers for NFS Underground will no longer be in service as of January 13,
2006.You may continue to play the game up until the closure date, although
certain community programs may begin to close down prior to that date. Please
be advised that this does not affect PC peer-peer (IP-IP) play that may be a
feature of certain games.
