  • Command & Conquer 3 v1.08 patch/hotfix - This is a 'hotfix' patch that makes one specific fix to the Scrin Mothership unit. You'll be prompted to download the update the next time you go online in Command & Conquer 3. The hotfix can also be downloaded from FileFront, GH and The Patches Scrolls.
  • GRAW 2 Patch v1.04 - Ubisoft has issued a new patch for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (download / FTP), bringing to v1.04 this action sequel developed by GRIN.
  • Sword of the Stars: Born of Blood Patch v1.4 - Lighthouse Interactive has issued a patch for Born of Blood, bringing this Sword of the Stars expansion to version 1.4.
  • Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Patch v4.1 - A new unofficial patch for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is now available, bringing the Source-engine action/RPG from deceased developer Troika to version 4.1.
  • Empire: Total War announced - The Creative Assembly's next Total War game has bee announced (+screenshots) It's set in the Napoleonic era.
  • Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08 - EA announces that Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08 is shipping to stores for PC, Mac, and various console and handheld systems. Just a quick FYI folks, the 733MB demo is now available on Xbox live.
  • Orange Box Nears - This GameInformer interview with Valve's Gabe Newell confirms that they are on track to ship on October 9, with Gabe offering a brief "yup" to the question about whether all three games (Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal) are 'pretty much finished.'
  • Bioshock banned from Valve offices - In an attempt to inspire the Valve team to finish the Orange Box installment of Half-Life 2, the company has BANNED the play of Bioshock from its offices. Hah :-)
  • California State Senator Attacks ESRB Over Manhunt 2 - This press release has the the hugely alarmist headline 'Most Violent Game Ever Released To Be Sold To Children' (it's also inaccurate since Manhunt 2 hasn't been released yet to stores). Yee is calling on the ESRB ratings board to disclose why they changed the rating from AO to M.
  • The PS3 UT3 Demo Won't Be Released Before The Game Ships - Eurogamer is reporting that there will not be a PS3 demo for UT3 prior to it's release to retailers.
  • GRAW2 Throwback Pack 2 On Xbox Live  - The second of said packs is now available for download via Xbox Live Marketplace for the low, low price of free. The pack not only contains seven classic GR maps for use in multiplayer, but also comes with a whole new game mode. Co-op Exfiltration is a co-op game mode that challenges your squad to protect AI officers as they try to reach a helicopter extraction zone
  • MasterBoy v2.01 for PSP released - Brunni has released a new version of MasterBoy (+PDF doc). MasterBoy is a Game Boy, Sega Master and Game Gear Emulator for the PSP. It features a skinnable interface with nice effects and quite a lot of options
