C&C 3 will be in stores March 28!
  • Portal Preview - There's a Portal preview on Game Informer, offering the latest impressions of Valve's puzzle-platformer. The preview includes some new screenshots and videos from the game, which will be included with Half-Life 2: Episode Two.
  • Sacred 2 Q&A part #1 - New at RPG Vault this morning is the first part of a Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Q&A. Creative Director Hans-Arno Wegner is asked about the goals for the action RPG sequel, the backstory and storyline.
  • Stargate Worlds Q&A - VP of Product Development Joe Ybarra is asked about production, the Zat'nik'tel weapon, playable character types, storytelling and more.
  • Redneck Kentucky Demo - The Redneck Kentucky Product Section offers new screenshots, two trailers, and a playable demo for Redneck Kentucky (145MB), an Unreal-engine shooter that pits the player against hoards of chickens that are hatching some sort of plot.
  • Half-Life 1 / CS Patch - The update has increased the game's supported resolutions. If you have a screen that's big enough you can play Half-Life 1 (and presumably any mods for the game) at the massive screen resolution of 2560x1600. Apparently, the last update made it so that the voluntary BETA for advertisements in Counter-Strike 1.6 are no long voluntary.
  • World of Warcraft Client Patch 2.0.10 - Blizzard has released their World of Warcraft Client Patch 2.0.10 which is about 2.5MB's and contains numerous tweaks for their MMORPG. You can download the patch via the game's auto-updater or manually via sites like FileFront, FileShack
  • Auto Assault Expands  - NCsoft announced the release of the fourth free content expansion of Auto Assault which includes the installation of an auction house, the introduction of new vehicle chassis and a new tournament schedule as well as several quality of life system improvements.
  • LEGO MMO Announced - The LEGO Group announced it has commenced a working relationship with NetDevil to develop a MMO experience to further engage its dedicated and active community.
  • Urban Mysteries Revealed - GDC Day 1 Urban Mysteries Impressions on FiringSquad reveals a new Unreal Engine 3 game for PCs and next-gen consoles in the works at developer Zeitguys: "The first part of the game showed our player character as he explored Urban Mysteries's vision of 2052 with gothic and Victorian architecture. We were told that we would even see Zeppelin like blimps in this future that the player can control and even use in combat".
  • Guild Wars Add-on & Sequel Plans? - Guild Wars Slovenia reports that the expansion will be called Eye of the North, and its Q3 2007 release will offer new items and areas specifically geared towards high-level characters. They also state this will be the last expansion for ArenaNet's MMORPG before the release of Guild Wars 2 in 2009-2010.
  • Shadowrun & Windows LIVE "Gold" Accounts - It looks like multiplayer gaming between PC owners will likely be free, but cross platform multiplayer will require premium LIVE accounts all around.
  • Everybody's Golf 5 Demo Coming To PS3 Store On March 16 - According to Gamefront, a demo of Everybody's Golf 5 will be available on the PS3 store (In Japan at least) starting on March 16, 2007.
  • Sony Planning Episodic Playstation 3 Game - Sony has annouhnced today at the GDC that they are indeed planning to release episode-based game on their PS3 console. This is, of course, possible via the PS3's net connection and its HDD.
  • Game Reviews Don't Matter? - Three Speech, a Sony Playstation PR blog, speculates that game reviewer's influence has withered, citing that gamers really don't care about game reviews anymore.
  • XBox Live Reaches 6 Million Members, 5 Billion Points  - That's 5 Billion MS Points or $62,500,000 spent on XBox Live Marketplace so far. Microsoft has announced they reached 6 million active members on XBox Live. A goal they reached more than 4 months ahead of schedule. Also announced today, Xbox LIVE members can download the first ever HD episode of 'South Park,' exclusive to the Xbox 360 and available free starting today, March 6.
  • World Cyber Games 2007 Details - This press release offers details on the 2007 World Cyber Games.

@Game Reviews Don't Matter?

GGMania is about the only Review site I trust. Magazines are all junk and their goal is purely to push games. At least HX is honest. Look at PC Gamer, you think The Vede could push Dells ripoff 24" widescreen LCD a little more, last issue I counted at least 10 references from him in writeups basically telling people to get this LCD and the price is great. If anything these days, you just got to find that one source, consistent reliable source for all your gaming news and reviews. To me, that's GGMania..Don't trust idiots like The Vede who doesn't even know how to write a proper article on how to put a PC together...
