  • Eidos may have set a dangerous precedent for PS3 devs - ArsTechnica's opposable thumbs wonders out loud whether Eidos' decision to delay their major PS3 titles till FY '08, which is when they believe the install base will be greater, will be the start of a PSP-like trend. So what do you think?
  • New Lost Planet Map Pack Coming April 6 - The new Lost Planet map pack will include two new maps: 'Hive Complex,' an abandoned mine with twisting tunnels and bridges set on a war-blasted mountain side, and 'Trial Point,' a modern day office complex featuring a photorealistic backdrop of a busy city center. The map pack will be available for download from Live Marketplace on Friday, April 6 and will cost 400 Microsoft points.
  • Xbox 360 Elite uses HDMI 1.2; no support for Dolby TrueHD - The Xbox 360 Elite will ship with HDMI version 1.2, as opposed to the latest version 1.3. What do you lose with such a monstrous degradation? HDMI 1.3 adds support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio streams; this can be accomplished in HDMI 1.2 if the player can decode these streams into uncompressed audio, but unfortunately neither the Xbox 360 nor HD DVD add-on support it.
  • DOAX's Kasumi Paint Job Studied - If you're going to drop nearly 8200 yen (about $70 American) each on Kotobukiya's Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 Kasumi PVC figures, you're entitled to see how that paint job turned out :-D
