First Person Shooter, Battlefield Bad Company 2. In realted news,

- Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Beta Changes Detailed -
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 developer DICE has published a list of the hundred-plus changes
it has made to the upcoming shooter following the now-concluded
PlayStation 3 beta. Another beta test, this one on PC, is slated to
kick off January 28 and run through February 25, with the completed
game planned to hit North American shops in PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox
360 form March 2 and a multiplayer demo due around then.
- Grand Ages Rome: Reign of Augustus Trailer - The add-on is expected this month,
and word is: "Reign of Augustus expansion pack includes a brand new
campaign, 12 single player missions, 12 new maps, 6 multiplayer maps
and a wealth of enhanced gameplay features."
- Lost Planet 2 from CES 2010 - Preview - GamingShogun
has a hands-on look at the new press
demo of the upcoming Lost Planet 2 from Capcom's 30th-floor, private
Planet Hollywood suite during the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las
Vegas.
- The Old Republic in Spring 2011? - EA
CEO John Riccitiello revealed that the company is planning to launch
"our major new MMO" in "Spring 2011." He didn't specify what game he
was referencing, but there isn't really anything on EA's schedule that
fits that description besides Star Wars: The Old Republic, which is
under development at BioWare.
- Lionhead's Unannounced Game - According
to recent job listings, Lionhead is working
on another title outside of Milo & Kate and Fable III.
- Singularity Delayed Again - The release
date for Singularity on Gamestop.com has been changed to
June 1, 2010, indicating a delay to Raven's upcoming time-travelling
shooter (homepage).
- FilePlanet offers Star Trek Online Open Beta Keys
- FilePlanet has kicked open their promotion
for the Star Trek Online Open Beta. All FilePlanet subscribers can grab
a key and start downloading the file to get ready for the Open Beta
starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 12th. Gameplay starts at 10:00 am
PST. The Open Beta will run for two weeks - the 12th through the 26th.
Keys are first come, first served!
- Funcom threatening to delete noob Age of Conan
characters - As Funcom are now choosing to delete the
1-20 characters of inactive players -- potentially nuking
inactive bank alts in the process -- it's going to be interesting to
see how this plays out as a long-term strategy. Will it bring back
inactive players, afraid of losing a bevy of below-20's? Or has Funcom
just alienated people who were planning to come back, but now don't
want to take the chance that their characters will potentially become
clean-up fodder down the road? Time will tell..
- Risk Coming to XBLA - Electronic
Arts has announced that they're bringing Risk to Xbox Live Arcade early
this year. No firm date, but I'd guess early is within a couple months.
Even better news is that it's being made by the same folks that did
Magic The Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers.
- Watching hours of TV/PC daily could shorten your
life - Researchers from the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes
Institute in the state of Victoria tracked the lifestyle habits of 8,800 adults
and found that each hour spent in front of the TV daily increased the
risk of dying earlier from cardiovascular disease.
