- Hyboreal Games Q&A - GameCloud has conducted
an interview with Eric Sexton, asking the ex-Blizzard vet about Hyboreal Games
which he co-founded. He gives a bit of background on the new studio and their
plans for their first game,
Starfall -

Gamecloud has also posted an interview with Wargaming.net's vice president
of business development Nick Katselapov talking about
Massive
Assault Network 2. According to interview, the game will be
available in Spring 2005.
- Dropteam shots - Battlefront.com and TBG Software have just
released
a brand new set of 58 screenshots from DropTeam, showing the cutting edge
"High Dynamic Range Rendering" in action. DropTeam is TBG/Battlefront's
upcoming "realistic" Sci-Fi game about mechanized combat in the far future,
compatible for the PC, Mac and Linux systems.

- Neuro Hunter German demo -Deep Silver has released

- UFO: Aftershock retail patch v1.1 - Cenega has released

bringing the turn-based 3D tactical combat sequel by ALTAR Interactive to
version 1.1.
- Total Club Manager 06 data editor #2 - EA Sports has issued
updated data editors for Total Club Manager 06, a.k.a. FIFA Manager 06, as
before allowing modifications to the 3D soccer management sports sequel by EA
Canada.
- 50 Cent's Bulletproof banned in Australia - The OFLC has refused
classification on 50 Cent: Bulletproof,
effectively banning the PlayStation 2 and Xbox game in the country. The
game was deemed to be excessively violent, and the OFLC singled out killing
victims who moaned or begged for their lives, shooting injured characters as
they attempted to crawl away, and blood spattering onto the screen.
- Next Generation Talks Xbox 360 -
Next Generation Online has posted their opinion on the Xbox 360, The Next
Generation Verdict, putting emphasis on the Xbox Live service.
- PSP version 2.60 firmware -
Sony has released version 2.60 PSP Firmwave. It does include several
useful features such as RSS support, Chinese language encodings in the Web
browser, and WMA playback. Video with copyright protection can also now be
downloaded. While none of these features are particularly outstanding, this
latest update adds another set of obstacles to those trying to get homebrew
software working on the PSP.

- The industry is in for a gaming crash - Mainstream media is
recognising gaming as something that a wider demographic than
goths-with-guns(tm) and overweight basement dwellers do, and the industry is
raking in more money than Hollywood. The problem is that they are facing the

could be on the verge of another 80s style crash.

Moviehole talked to George Romero on Monday and the director shed light on
some of his upcoming projects, including Land of the Dead 2, which he might
shoot Down Under.
- 9 Minute Narnia Preview Online -
TV4.se has posted the nine-minute preview of Walt Disney Pictures' The
Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe which debuted on
Starz! over the Thanksgiving weekend.
- Paramount-SCI talks on next Croft movie - SCI, the computer games
company that owns Lara Croft, along with her Tomb Raider franchise,
is in talks with Paramount Pictures over licensing the property for a
third Hollywood movie.
- Carrey & Burton Teaming on Ripley Pic -
Jim Carrey will topline and Tim Burton will direct Paramount Pictures'
action-adventure film based on the exploits of Robert Ripley, the explorer and
newspaper columnist who created "Ripley's Believe It or Not."
