Lots of humor to the game? Only "funny" bits are the names of the enemies "Morton disk scanner.exe" for instance

i thought it was a great game i picked it up thursday and finished it after 2 days of 10 hours and a 4 hour finish up on monday; so for 24hours i thought it was a bit on the short side, but the 24 hours were wonderful (except when your playing the light cycles and you have derezzed 2 of the other 3 players and you think left but turn right and do'h...) but still, it was great fun; watched the dvd of tron in the middle of playing one night - all and all a tron weekend

It´s been a long time since I´ve played a game as beautiful as this is. Tron 2.0 expands the visuals and story of the movie like no other movie based game I´ve played before. You got ot play it on a video card with DirectX 8.1 pixel shaders to really enjoy it. There´s a "screen glow" effect which is one of the best and original use of pixel shaders i´ve seen.

Definately a cool game. After seeing HL2 previews, its hard to get excited about games out at the moment, but this game kept me captivated for the whole way through - i could stop playing :) Impressive graphics (especially the glow technology), great sound and alot of fun to play.

Very nice looking game, watching the original Tron and had to buy the game. Played for a short while and became bored doing the same old thing. For a FPS, I personally need more action.

Agree with the review and the comments. I was totally hooked on this film as a kid, and the game's designers did an outstanding job maintaining the look, feel, and sound of the movie. Even the music is well done - lots of Wendy Carlos' original soundtrack, with a modern twist. The storyline was paced well; not quite groundbreaking, but not boring either. The script manages to incorporate plenty of computer jargon and concepts for atmosphere, without being obnoxious about it. Some of the platform-jumping puzzles annoyed the hell outta me, but that was just a minor gripe. Overall, it's everything I hoped it would be, and then some.

I challenge you to find a better system." "Oh yeah, the tanks are read only ;)" In the 'city' - you can get a 'warez' copy of a program by talking to some female program around some corner The racing grid death comments - 'Newbie!' Upon sight the ICPs and other programs say... 'Scuzzy (SCSI comes to mind) Warez'. Various program-to-program dialogs. A bit of irony in the emails... You have to pay attention and get involved in the game to catch ALL the subtle jokes - but nobody's perfect. It helps to know a bit about computers in the first place to understand alot of the jargon and other terms, such as the difference between high-level and low-level compilers.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!! The TRON glow effect was AWESOME! In my opinion it wasn't quite as original as I thought it would be though. Goodbye -END TRANSMISSION-

..screnn glow is definitv not a pixel shader effect, i've tried it with a geforce2 whcih has no pixelshader support and it worked, but its a very cool looking effect...

Tron 2 has great graphics but the sound is a let down it is only bleeps and computer noises because I have onboard sound. Vietcong supposedly had troublesome copy protection but disc 1 of tron 2 original cd version had a crc error at 31% of the installation and it is impossible to uninstall the game.

All i can say is i would never buy anything named "TRON" the name is pathetic.

As for the title it is based of the original movie tron, in the 1980s, which also explains the cartoony textures, but it adds a interesting touch from the boring old SOF games and alike. XIII was another which used the same sort of cartoon texturing, made the game interesting.
