Trinity Cancelled, DOOM 3 rescheduled - briefly

According to this "Activision's second quarter 2004 press release", the publisher has cancelled a number of titles, including the previously announced Trinity, the Quake III engine powered first person shooter that was under development by Gray Matter Studios. Two sports games, Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder 2 and the sequel to Street Hoops, were also cancelled. Activision also has rescheduled DOOM 3, which is now being moved into the fiscal 2005 year (which actually begins in April 2004).

It has to be hardware.Think about it.Not even the new 9800XT can handle everything in the game unless running @ 640x48016 By waiting 2 more years that will give ATI & Nvidia time to come up with a bad ass card

...its says the fiscal year of 2005, which begins in April. So its going to be at least 5 months.
