Both graphically and combat-wise, it was hard not to notice the similarities between Tribes: Vengeance and the current class of Unreal Tournament games. Although Tribes: Vengeance will feature classic Tribes weapons like the Spinfuser (a pseudo-rocket launcher that fires explosive discs at enemies), the current combat has a definite UT vibe to it -- and that's not a bad thing. In fact, if anything, it means that Tribes: Vengeance will be less prone to the bugs that plagued previous games -- instead of trying to build and debug their own technology, the developers are starting with stable and proven code, allowing them to focus on the gameplay itself.
