The brief demo we got to see of Timeshift at the press event showed off how time will be used in the game and Atari says that Saber Interactive is creating game puzzles that use time in much the same way Valve used physics puzzles for Half-Life 2. The main character was attacking a fortress set up by the unnamed main enemy in the game who is apparently aware of our hero's time abilities and has tried to combat them with traps and situations. Mines that come out from the ground and explode in the air are dealt with slow or stop time powers, as are spotlights that trigger defense. A building that has a moving train coming out of it seems to be inaccessible by normal means is death with by reversing time, jumping on board the train and then carried inside.
