Gods: Lands
of Infinity has gone Gold according to a brief message at the developer's
site and will be released in Q1/2006. The RPG doesn't carry a more specific
release date because they are still working on publishing deals.

- The Godfather movie -
A new movie trailer for The Godfather is now online to illustrate the
upcoming 3D action adventure game in development at EA Pacific.
- Blitzkrieg 2 Patch - CDV has released
a new patch for Blitzkrieg 2 (78MB), bringing the World War II 3D
real-time strategy sequel by Nival Interactive to version 1.3. The patch adds
support for Windows XP 64-bit, a reinforcement timer, crash and bug fixes in
the map editor, AI enhancements, and other improvements,
- Domination patches v2.0.164 - DreamCatcher Games has released
new patches for
Domination, bringing the English, German,
French, Italian, and Spanish retail editions of the 3D turn-based strategy
game by Wargaming.net to version 2.0.164.
- Madden NFL 2006 patches v2.0+ -
This
is another roster update that makes the players current as of 12/20/05.
- Weird Worlds Patch v1.1 -
This patch upgrades retail version of Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite
Space to version 1.1.
- Quake 4 Linux Quakemas Pack - The newly released
Quake 4 "Quakemas" map pack is now available for Linux.
- Thomas and the Magical Words demo -
In Thomas and the Magical
Words (download),
players must help the young wizard Thomas in his magical adventure by creating
words to form paths for him. The game encourages creating extremely long words
and recognizes over 200,000 words.
- Blizzard Bans 18,000 World Of Warcraft Accounts - The official
World of Warcraft website has posted word that
Blizzard has banned
18,000 accounts for the best selling MMORPG over the past three months. A
majority of these accounts were found to be using third-party programs to farm
gold and items. Such actions can severely impact the economy of a realm and
the overall game enjoyment for all players.
- UT 2007 to be PS3 Launch title - The January 2006 issue of
PlayStation Magazine proudly proclaims that, yes,
UT 2007 is
coming to the PlayStation 3. Inside, the magazine also reveals that the
game will be a launch title for the PlayStation 3, which is tentatively slated
for a spring 2006 launch.
- City of Heroes Hacked -
Someone haxored City of Heroes and City of Villains servers Tuesday night.
The hacker used the software the developers use to remotely access their own
servers. The hacker claims that the software was not password protected and
that he was able to access all of the servers. So far he’s only knocked down
the two west coast servers (Champion and Protector). The hacker also created
an emulator using the Heroes source code which allows local servers to run off
the original software. Early Wednesday morning the
City of Heroes forums had a
message posted in announcements saying that the issue had been resolved.
- Philips to Sell Video Game Effects Machines - Philips Electronics
hopes to sell
devices that simulate virtual environments while you're playing a game,
according to the Dow Jones Newswires. Playing a snowboarding game? The
company's amBX system will blow a cool breeze toward you. Getting blown apart
by a grenade on-screen? Feel a blast of hot air coming out of the amBX!
