  • Silent Heroes (PC)
    Stronghold 2 (PC)
Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express (PC)
    War Front: Turning Point (PC)
BioShock Q&A - GameSpy has posted an extensive Q&A with Ken Levine of Irrational talking about BioShock, the upcoming "spiritual successor" to System Shock: 'When you add more than what people expect -- we have everything that DOOM 3 has, and then we have all this other stuff (weapon crafting, character choice and plasmids, and hacking), people get a little confused as to whether it's an RPG or an adventure game. No, what it is, is a first-person shooter, and our goal with BioShock is that after people play it, then that's what they'll start to expect from the first-person shooter.'
  • Hellgate: London Interview - Hellgate Guru has a new 17-question interview about the upcoming action RPG/FPS from Flagship Studios, Hellgate: London. The interview is with Ivan Sulic of Flagship Studios and it’s mainly about gameplay-related topics.
  • HoMM 5: Hammers of Fate Q&A - The Might & Magic portal has a Q&A/FAQ with information on the recently announced 'Hammers of Fate' expansion for Heroes of Might & Magic V.
  • Company of Heroes  - Designer Diary #7 (Final Thoughts) - With Company of Heroes due out next week, senior designer Erin Daly looks back at the development of this cutting-edge World War II strategy game.
  • Medieval II: Total War clips - Another set of three new movie clips for Medieval II: Total War has been released, showing more of the 3D real-time and turn-based strategy sequel by Creative Assembly.
  • Super-Bikes: Riding Challenge movie - Black Bean Games has released a new movie trailer for Super-Bikes: Riding Challenge, showing off the contemporary motorcycle racing simulation by Milestone.
  • Silent Heroes Goes Gold - Paradox Interactive has announced that Silent Heroes has gone gold and will be available for download exclusively via their Gamer's Gate website on Friday for $19.99.
  • Khan Closes - The Khan: The Absolute Power Website has announcement that IENT is shutting down Khan:  "At this time we (IENT) feel that the current version of Khan does not meet our high standards of game play and the lack of on-going development by Mirinae would be insufficient to improve this situation. Therefore, IENT will be discontinuing the game effective 9 AM EST Sept 5, 2006. All currently subscribed accounts will receive 1 free month in Helbreath and Legend of Mir3 in addition to having any full months that remain on their Khan subscription transferred to both games."
  • Red Orchestra: Ostfront Update Soon  - Tripwire sent us an update regarding the upcoming Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 update that will be made available through Steam this month. Among other things, ragdolls (dead players) are now affected by nearby explosions, which is extremely cool.
  • Gameplay HD Network To Show Battlefield 2142 Tournament - Gameplay HD high-def TV network will show an eight episode series where eight pro gaming teams will be invited to compete in a Battlefield 2142 tournament even before the DICE-EA multiplayer shooter ships to stores. The winning team will receive $30,000. There is no word on when the series will be shown.
  • Samurai Warriors 2 (Xbox 360)
Nintendo Respond To PS3 Europe Delay - Nintendo sent out their official statement regarding yesterday's news that Sony will delay the launch of the Playstation 3 in Europe from November to March 2007 along with the launch date shortages for the US and Japan territories. Nintendo's response was, as I expected, brief and did not address the Sony announcements: "Wii is on track to ship in Q4, Nintendo plans to ship 6 million systems to retailers around the world between its launch in the fourth quarter of 2006 and the end of its fiscal year on March 31, 2007."
  • Chromehounds Patch (Xbox 360) - This post on the Sega message board has the details on the patch which is mainly for bug fixes
