BioShock Q&A -
GameSpy has posted an extensive Q&A with Ken Levine of Irrational talking
about BioShock, the upcoming "spiritual successor" to System Shock: 'When you
add more than what people expect -- we have everything that DOOM 3 has, and
then we have all this other stuff (weapon crafting, character choice and
plasmids, and hacking), people get a little confused as to whether it's an RPG
or an adventure game. No, what it is, is a first-person shooter, and our goal
with BioShock is that after people play it, then that's what they'll start to
expect from the first-person shooter.'

official statement regarding
yesterday's news that Sony will delay the launch of the Playstation 3 in
Europe from November to March 2007 along with the launch date shortages for
the US and Japan territories. Nintendo's response was, as I expected, brief
and did not address the Sony announcements: "Wii is on track to ship in Q4,
Nintendo plans to ship 6 million systems to retailers around the world between
its launch in the fourth quarter of 2006 and the end of its fiscal year on
March 31, 2007."
