up a copy of the Finnish Gamereactor magazine and made a list of all of the relevant stuff
from the featured interview. Compared to Crysis there will be more
openness and freedom of choice, larger gameplay areas and more tactical
warfare.
- M.U.D. TV Trailer - The official M.U.D. TV Trailer is
now online, showing off this game that puts players in control of their
own television station, emphasizing the more cutthroat aspects of the
game.[
- Mount & Blade: Warband Video Dev Diary - Paradox
Interactive and Taleworlds have released a new video developer diary for
their upcoming Action-RPG, Mount & Blade: Warband.
Running just over seven minutes long, this video touches on the
different multiplayer modes, castle features and mod support.
- Aliens vs Predator Bonus Maps Free For All - The
four bonus multiplayer maps that are part of the Survivor and Hunter
Editions of Aliens vs Predator will be available for free "soon after
release" for all owners of Rebellion's upcoming shooter remake
- Fallen Earth Patch 1.3 - The
patch adds a new level of content - raising the level cap
from 45 to 46 - by introducing a new base camp in the higher level area
of Sector Three. The new camp, Deadfall Point, will provide over 50 new
missions, a dozen new encounter areas, nine new craftable items,
including a slew of weapons and consumables, several irradiated
creatures and a new storyline. New instances have also been
incorporated, making way for new 'veteran' creatures, which operate
similar to bosses and 'hazard' creatures which players will want to
avoid
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat Patch v1.6.02
(German) - The patch contains fixes that are
already present in the more recently released English edition of the
game
- Sail Simulator 2010 Goes Gold - Iceberg
Interactive announces Sail Simulator 2010 is gold, and
will go on sail sale in the UK and Scandinavian on February 26, with
the release of the sailing simulation in Germany, France, and Benelux
to follow in March and April.
- Patch in the Works for Dante's Inferno Save Bug - EA
and Visceral Games is fully aware of the save bug that takes place
during the "Greed" level in Dante's Inferno. A short statement made by
an EA representative on the game's official forums confirms that a
patch is in the works.
- Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter in April -
BigDownload has learned that
Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter will be released in late April
2010. In addition, the long awaited deathmatch and dedicated servers
update for Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter should be released
'soon' and that The Second Encounter will have deathmatch support out
of the box along with all of the other fixes and additions that have
been or will be released for The First Encounter. Finally Devolver
Digital will also publish Croteam's all new next game Serious Sam 3 but
they are keeping details on that title a secret for now.
- StarCraft 2 Beta Launching This Month - The
pre-release multiplayer beta for StarCraft II
is "ready to launch this month," developer Blizzard Entertainment has
announced. The revelation came while Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime was
speaking to investors, accompanied by the slide to the left.
- World of Warcraft: Cataclysm still set for second
half of 2010 release - During Activision Blizzzard's
financial conference call Blizzard's
CEO Mike Morhaime stated the expansion, World of Warcraft
Cataclysm, is currently scheduled for release sometime in the second
half of 2010.
- World Of Warcraft: 70% Of Players Give Up Before
Level Ten - Blizzard has revealed a startling
fact - only 30% of players ever make it past World Of Warcraft's first
ten levels
- Blur Demo in March - This
racing simulation in developer at Bizarre Creations is expected on PC,
Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, so it's not clear what platform(s)
the demo will support.
- Red Dead Redemption Pre-Order Bonus Items - IncGamers
has posted a list of the pre-order items you can get
when you pre-order Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption in the UK/US.
The US deals work similarly with the War Horse and Golden
Guns available to those who pre-order at Best Buy and Amazon
respectively while Gamestop customers can vote for which free outfit
they will receive. Game Crazy is offering the Brady mini-guide, Target
and Wal-Mart are offering $5 USD and $10 USD gift cards respectively
and you’ll get a free t-shirt of you pre-order from Rockstar
Warehouse.
- Dark Void Soundtrack Available - The soundtrack is for sale through
Sumthing Distribution. The soundtrack features 80 minutes of scores
hand-picked by composer Bear McCreary, including the "Theme from Dark
Void (Mega Version)," the 8-bit rendering for Dark Void Zero for the
DSi.
- Runic Games is Hiring - Runic Games has
updated their front page with news that they are
looking to expand their team. Based on the update, it seems they're
looking for an Environmental Artist to make props based on their art
style. Their criteria has a suggested prompt for something specific
they want to see for anyone applying for the position.
