- Attack on Pearl Harbor Announced - Legendo Entertainment
officially announced
Attack on
Pearl Harbor, a World War II arcade-style aerial combat game planned for
release in Q1 2007.
- Left Behind: Eternal Forces Expansion Pack Announced -
Left
Behind Games will release an expansion pack to their Christian themed
RTS game Left Behind: Eternal Forces (the company had announced a full-blown
sequel to the game last week). The expansion pack will be released in spring
2007
- Far Cry: Vengeance 'Frag Dolls' Trailer -
A three and a half minute trailer featuring Jinx interviewing J.F.
Dugas, the creative director for Far Cry and footage from Far Cry:
Vengeance.
- Dominions 3 Patch - Shrapnel Games has released
a new patch for Dominions 3: the Awakening, upgrading the fantasy 3D
turn-based strategy sequel by Illwinter Game Design to version 3.04. The
5.4MB patch adds a new nation, a new map, gameplay and interface tweaks.
- Heroes of Annihilated Empires Patch v1.1 - The official Heroes of
Annihilated Empires website now offers
the first patch for the recently released fantasy RTS game from
developer GSC GameWorld. In addition to various additions, changes and bug
fixes the 1.1 patch also has two new multiplayer maps.
- Supreme Commander Stress Test - Gas Powered Games seeks to get as
many players as possible online in the beta version of their real-time
strategy game. Those interested in participating can find the beta client on
FilePlanet (registration required) and a beta key

- New For Liberty! Demo - Matrix Games has released
an
updated For Liberty! demo, allowing you to try out this turn-based
strategy game set in a couple of 18th century revolutionary wars. The demo
features the same hypothetical southern campaign as the original demo, and
here's word on what's new: "The updated demo, like its original, features a
hypothetical southern campaign in 1780 where you must stop the raiding
Indians and then fight a full British brigade. Players will be pleased with
the level of depth the gameplay goes into for this demo, as tactical battles
are fully playable too."

The CPL Changing Illegal Drug Rules - While having alcohol
and illegal drugs have always been banned at CPL events,
the new 2007 rules specifically state that the organization "reserves
the right to conduct illicit drug testing at its own discretion, when league
officials have reason to believe that such test is necessary and
appropriate." The CPL's winter finals will be held next week in Dallas.
- World Series Of Video Games Gets TV Deals -
This World Series
of Video Games press release announces that the pro gaming tournament
organization has signed a new TV deal where highlights of the 2006 season
will be shown on several networks.

- Class action suit filed against MS for 360 issues -
When Microsoft released the Fall Update for the Xbox 360 on October 31,
reports that it was "bricking" some systems--rendering them unable to play games
or even boot up properly--quickly flared up online. Microsoft issued an
new-fixed version of their Fall Update a day later, but
the owner, known currently only by his Xbox 360 Gamertag of REDRUM6622, has
filed a class action lawsuit stating that Microsoft is refusing to repair or
replace any Xbox 360 consoles affected by the update unless they pay up to $140
to ship the console back.
