• Another Hot Coffee Lawsuit - The Madison Record is reporting that a "concerned mother" has filed a class action suit in St. Clair County, Illinois over the infamous Hot Coffee content in GTA: San Andreas. Plaintiff Brenda Stanhouse claims that she purchased the game for her teenagers fully aware of its "M" (17 and older) rating. However she was distressed when she learned of the Hot Coffee content and the ESRB's subsequent decision to re-rate the game as "AO" (18 and older). She claims that she took GTA:SA away from her kids after it was declared AO. (thanks GamePolitics)
• Grand Theft Auto shots for PS3 show sex scenes  - A number of "leaked" screenshots for the next GTA game show what appear to be sex scenes in the game.
• Shops begin to stop taking Xbox 360 pre-orders - EB Games online store is no longer taking pre-orders, although not all companies seem to have run out of their pre-order allocations just yet and EB Games do advise customers to check back regularly as more stocks may become available, depending on how well the factories in China are at getting overtime in we assume.
• Mobile Trojan Horse Trots Onto PCs - Virus writers have come up with a way to make their malicious software jump from a mobile phone to a PC. Security researchers have reported the first sightings of a new Trojan horse program that masquerades as pirated software for mobile phones and attempts to infect PCs via the phone's memory card.
• Free software targets pirating - DFC searches a personal computer for any of 198 versions of Internet file-sharing software such as Kazaa, eDonkey and WinMX and allows the user to either restrict their use by a password or delete them.
• Opera Reaches One Million Downloads in Two Days - More than one million people have downloaded the Opera browser in the two days since Opera announced it was dropping the ad banner and going completely free.
• P2P music sites closing doors in legal fallout - Popular file-sharing site WinMX.com ceased operating and the New York office of another, eDonkey.com, appeared to be closed, in the continuing legal fallout among underworld peer-to-peer music services, industry sources and users said on Wednesday.

A little large, but they're battery operated, bright and completely wireless. And they kinda look like light sabers, which could be either a plus or a minus. $33 each.
• Koreans Work on Combat Robot - As you can see from the photo the development is in its early stages. The funding is about $32 million USD for 5 years. The direction is to develop a mobile robot with six or eight legs. Either with wheels or walking legs.
• DOA: Dead or Alive Set Pics - The first set pictures from videogame adaptation DOA: Dead or Alive have surfaced at DOACentral.com. The movie, expected to hit theaters in 2006, is directed by Corey Yuen.

• Total Overdose GOLD - Eidos announced that Deadline Games' third-person action game is gold, and due in North America for PC, Xbox, and PS2 on September 28,
• Grandia Online Announced - Square Enix today revealed that it is working on a new title in their Grandia franchise. Unlike previous installments the new product will be an MMORPG, bringing the series online for the very first time. Grandia Online is currently schedule for release on the PC. • KART Masters Announced - SE Games announced a partnership with CRG, the ROTAX Max Challenge Series for the development of a new kart game. The game will feature 2 Racing classes (the ROTAX Intl. Class and RM1 Super Karts), 24 tracks of varying distances, elevations and grip, choice of 6 brands of karts , Night races, Endurance events with driver changes, Complete kart setup pages, Championship and single event modes , Hotlap and test sessions, Damage multiplayer, Scalable mechanical failures, Downloadable textures and liveries and more.
• Interview with DICE developers - BF2.se has the transcript from an interview with some of the DICE development team. Most of the interview relates to the upcoming v1.03 patch, or v1.1 as some people have dubbed it.
• Playlogic to publish Captain Blood Game - Playlogic today announced the acquisition of "Captain Blood" for Xbox360 and PC. "Captain Blood" is a pirate action game based on Rafael Sabatini's novel, "Captain Blood: His Odyssey," about the notorious Captain Peter Blood.
• Heroes of the Pacific ships - Codemasters announced that Heroes of the Pacific will ship tomorrow for PC, PS2 and Xbox.
• Ultimate Spider-Man ships - Ultimate Spider-Man is available for the PS2, Xbox and GC for a suggested retail price of $49.99. The PC/CD-ROM version of Ultimate Spider-Man is now available for a suggested retail price of $29.99.
• Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 ships - Electronic Arts announced today that Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06 has shipped to retailers nationwide and is available for the PS2, Xbox, GC, and PC under the EA SPORTS brand. A version for the PSP will ship on September 26.
• Battle of Britain II: Wings of Victory Patch v2.01 - A new Battle of Britain II: Wings of Victory patch is now available, updating Shockwave Productions' World War II combat flight simulator to version 2.01.
• Marine Park Empire Patch v1.1 - The Marine Park Empire website now offers downloads of the first patch for Enlight's theme park sim, updating the game to version 1.1.
• Rising Kingdoms Patch v1.1 - A new patch for Rising Kingdoms is now available on the BlackBean Games website, updating Haemimont Games' fantasy-themed RTS game to version 1.1.

• EVE Online on the Rise - CCP Games announced today that since the immensely successful launch of "EVE Online: Cold War Edition," the game has surpassed the 15,000 peak concurrent user record and smashed through the 70,000 active subscriber mark.
• 1 Million Players In Guild Wars! - NCSoft's European branch sent us a press release announcing that Guild Wars, the hit fantasy multiplayer action-RPG from developer ArenaNet now has one million players in the US and Europe and there are plans to expand the game to Japan and Taiwan.
• Koei announces two for PS3 - The first game, Fatal Inertia, is a futuristic racing game that makes full use of physics engines using the PS3's high-powered processing capabilities. The second game, Blade Storm: Hundred Years War, will be produced by Sengoku Musou's Akihiro Suzuki and developed by Omega force. Suzuki appeared onstage to briefly outline the game and to mention it will take place in a setting where "the integration between Asia and the West has developed."

• Dragon Quest VIII PS2 ships in November - Square Enix announced that DRAGON QUEST VIII - Journey of the Cursed King will ship to retailers November 22nd, exclusively for the PS2.
