CD Projekt RED has just announced that Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, a brand new adventure set in the world of The Witcher, is coming to the PC on October 23rd. Thronebreaker is described as a single player role-playing game set in the world of The Witcher that combines narrative-driven exploration with unique puzzles and card battle mechanics. Players will follow the story of battle-hardened queen Meve as she takes up arms against the invading Nilfgaardians. Players will build an army, embark on quests, and discover captivating new stories crafted by the developers responsible for some of the most iconic moments in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

CD Projekt RED has not released any in-game screenshots so I don’t know whether this will feature visuals comparable to The Witcher 3 or something else.

narrative driven witcher 3? I was bored out of my mind and rage quit after 3-4 hours of nothing happening, just randomly killing some zombies that interupt me while I am having a dialogue. Sure, the game looks good and it seems there is some story going on, but compared to witcher 1 and 2, there is no story going on.

Witcher games bored the hell out of me and the voice acting was horrible and it's a f'ing console game. Wasted my money on this franchise twice..
