HomeLAN - Even though There is not being called a "game", there are a lot of game developers on the team as well as financial supporters with game experience. How would you describe There? Tom Melcher: The thinking behind the product called "There" is simple. First, from a consumer's perspective, There is simply a better way to hang out with your friends and have fun together online. Many people already hang out online today in chat rooms or by using instant messaging. They do this because their real-life friends are not nearby, or because they want to have friendships with people they don't know in real life. As every statistic illustrates, chatting and using instant messaging is no longer something that only geeks do. In fact, in the United States more than 53 million people have chatted online with friends in the last month. By way of comparison, about 25 million Americans watch the top-rated TV show "Friends". None of these numbers include children and teenagers, so the numbers are probably even larger once these groups are included; chatting and instant messaging is very popular among teenagers.
