FiringSquad: What other unique gameplay elements will the expansion have? Brynley Gibson: When discussing gameplay, we are talking specifically about playing the Sim side of the game and not the creative movie-making side. The Movies already has plenty to do so new gameplay elements had to be carefully designed so as to not ruin the balance or overload the player. Stuntmen need to be managed and nurtured and there are some new stats to contend with - both Stars and Stuntmen now have a stunt skill and a condition bar. Stuntmen are a neat little piece of gameplay that slot neatly into the original game. The player needs to carefully think about the choices they make when using stunts in their films, taking into account the difficulty of the stunt over the skill of the performers and their current physical condition. The harder the stunts, the more risky they are. The risks inherent in filming the scenes are that your Stars or Stuntmen may suffer a horrific injury. If this happens, then the performer will be out of action whilst they recover. There are new facilities to back up the Stuntmen - there is a Stunt school for hiring, a hospital for when stunts go wrong and several training facilities to help improve the stunt skill. There are also new awards and objectives for the players to aim for with their Stuntmen and their stunt movies and these bring their own prizes and bonuses
