Sierra has released the promised playable demo for The Hobbit (previously available only as part a promotion with McDonalds restaurants), allowing you to try out this third-person platform action adventure by The Fizz Factor. The demo weighs 127MB and consists of three parts that sees you traversing Mirkwood Forest. Hobbit for all game platforms should be released Nov. 11, 2003. Mirrors: 3DGamers, WorthPlaying, BoomTown, FileFront, LoadedInc.

This game is a disgrace to Lord Of The Rings. From the screen shots, it looks horrible, and the fact that it is aimed at little children has meant that the game has kiddy graphics and will prolly have little kiddy songs and music playing throughout the game. The Hobbit was an awesome book, it is recognised as a classic, so they should make the game as good as possible, and not aimed at children around the age of 7 who do not know one thing about the book.

Well, even if this game is crap, The Hobbit is a children's book. That's what Tolkien intended, and that's what he created. Seven year olds can handle The Hobbit without much trouble - better they were reading than playing stupid games anyway. ;-)

yea all the tolkein books are childrenbooks thats what they were meant to be he made them up for his own kids

The demo is cool. I liked the graphics I saw so far in the demo. I'll get the full version for the pc.

THE GOOD- the game has good graffics,and game play is good,its fun trying to figure out what you should do next to get past the point your at,i got it for my daughter, i liked it better than she did.THE BAD---the demo is short it only took me about 3 hours to beat.OVERALL-good graffics,good gameplay,nice story line.i might just buy this game

This game RuLLZzZzZ!!!I don't care wath the other's say they are StUPID !!!And This game has very good grafic terain and all in this game is good Diablo is better but Now I Play "The Hobbit"
