The DRM-free web site GoG.com
isn't done with us yet this week. The classic PC game site has a couple
of extra additions to their growing library: Crystals of
Arborea and Ishar III, Personal Nightmare, The Pandora
Directive.
Crystals of Arborea and Ishar 3 added to Ishar Compilation -
Silmarils/DotEmu - $5.99
It's a great day to be an RPG fan! Starting right now our Ishar
compilation is complete, featuring all four games of the series. And to
make the news even better, the price remains the same - just $5.99!
This also means that if you already purchased the Ishar 1+2 pack, now
you can download all four games with no extra charge. Both games are
first-person perspective role-playing games, letting you create a party
and live out a solid storyline in a 3D fantasy world.
Personal Nightmare - 1989 - Horrorsoft/Adventure Soft - $5.99
Where else but GOG.com are you going to get 20-year old games? Personal
Nightmare is the oldest game in GOG's catalog to date and the precursor
to the acclaimed Elvira series. Personal Nightmare is a
first-person-perspective adventure game from Horrorsoft, putting
players in the shoes of a young man who returns to his home town to
find his father, the local vicar, missing, and the town he grew up in
much different - and more haunting - than he remembers.
The Pandora Directive - 1996 - Access Software/Wordplay LLC -
$9.99
The Pandora Directive is the fourth installment of the awesome Tex
Murphy series. As can be expected from a game with such an acclaimed
pedigree, you'll find an involving story which is guaranteed to keep
you glued to your chair, topped with some dark humor and well-designed
puzzles. This time our favorite P.I. is hired by a man named Gordon
Fitzpatrick to find his friend, Thomas Malloy. But, as always, there is
more to this case than meets the eye. You can now get all four games in
the series for just
$5.99. If you already bought the collection when it just had two games,
you can now get the two additional titles for free.
All Pinball Games 20% Off
Arcades may be having a tough time these days, but GOG.com keeps on
pinballing. Starting tomorrow (so please don't talk about it until
then! J) and running until Monday at 11:59pm Eastern, all of GOG.com's
pinball games will be 20% off! That means you can get four classic
pinball games that pass the test of time for just $4.79 each - that's
four games for under $20!
In related news, Steam's weekend deal is Fallout
3 at 50% off its normal price. Seriously, $25 for this bad
boy is basically a no brainer. Also 2K Games just launched its Huge Game Pack on Steam, bundling 20 of its games--which would normally sell for $229.80 individually--for the total price of $60. Bundled titles include Civilization III, Civ IV and its expansions, BioShock, X-COMs, Freedom Forces, Railroad Tycoon II and 3, Prey, Sid Meier's Railroads! and Pirates!, and more. |
