TF2 Update; Next Class Update Confirmed - briefly

Valve released
a rather
sizable Team Fortress 2 update, adding new features to some of the shooter's
existing abilities. Here is just a partial list of the changes:
- Teleporters will be upgradeable to level 3. As the teleporter is upgraded,
the cooldown will decrease.
- Dispensers will be upgradeable to level 3. They will heal faster and generate
metal faster as they are upgraded.
- Spies will be able to recharge their cloaking ability by picking up ammo off
of the ground.
- We've made a bunch of minor changes by adding particle systems and upgrading
the HUD to show things like deaths by critical hits, players that are
overhealed, and giving more information to medics when people are calling for
them.
The team is also looking to bring over many of the Source engine
improvements from the Left 4 Dead engine and integrate them with Team Fortress
2. Xbox 360 owners of the Orange Box will also be fortunate enough to get some
much deserved love soon. They also announce the Scout is the next class to get
one of their extreme makeovers, and they are soliciting suggestions for how to
make him useful on maps like Goldrush and Dustbowl.
FYI, For this weekend only, Valve is offering Team Fortress 2 for 50% off of its regular price! Normally, the game is $19.99 when sold separately through Steam, but through Sunday you can pick it up for just $9.99. This is one of those times where, if you don't already own the game, you have no excuse not to now.
