GameSpy has posted an interview with Peter Wyse of Atari as he talks about Terminator 3: War Of The Machines, the upcoming movie based multiplayer oriented PC first person shooter that's being developed by Cleaver's Games. In the style of games like Battlefield 1942, War of the Machines divides players between human and Skynet forces, with several classes available to each side, and setting straight out of the Terminator films. The game will also have 10 single-player missions, with the player taking on Arnold's role, initially fighting for Skynet but switching sides halfway through. Here is an excerpt:

GameSpy: What are the different types of gamemodes planned for the game?

Peter Wyse: Four different game modes are planned:

Domination - Where your object is to control as many checkpoints as possible for as long as possible.

Mission Mode - One side will be assigned an objective or multiple objectives to protect and the other side must destroy those same objectives.

Team Deathmatch - Pretty straightforward!

Single Player - As Arnold, not only do you play out some levels as the good Terminator, protecting life, but you also get to play as the bad Terminator, hunting down humans in the future.

These shots look promising. If you remember the brilliant DOS Terminator games from the early 90s (and if you don't, get over to Home of the Underdogs and find out), this is a game universe that doesn't need dazzling gfx to be eerie and fun. Killing robots in burned-out cities = bliss. :-)

yeah Hjarry i remember them old days it was a good idea but lacked the FUN of todays MP berserka modes! If this is anything like the enjoyable BF series then i 4 it, remember the programmers " R only HUMAN" ;)
