AMD Radeon HD 6950 & HD 6970 2GB Tested -
At $299, the HD 6950 is in the unique position
where there is not direct competition, so all in all, it's kind of a strange release, but one that still has reason to exist. It costs about $60 more than the HD 6870, and delivers a fair speed bump to warrant it. For those looking for a higher-end AMD offering, but don't quite want to shell out $370 for the HD 6970, the HD 6950 deserves some consideration. The HD 6970 is a little bit harder to conclude on, but for all intents and purposes, it performs about the same as NVIDIA's GTX 570.
EVGA GeForce GTX 570 Superclocked Video Card Review -
The EVGA GeForce GTX 570 and the Radeon HD 6970 achieve similar performance on Call of Duty 4, Aliens vs. Predator and 3DMark 11 (sometimes one was a little bit faster, sometimes the other, but the difference was not significant). However, on the other three games,
the EVGA GeForce GTX 570 Superclocked presented a huge advantage
: up to 21% faster on Crysis Warhead, up to 28% faster on Far Cry 2, and up to 55% faster on Lost Planet 2.
Windows 8 could be shown at CES next month -
Steve Ballmer could demonstrate a tablet and 'other companion devices' running
Windows 8 at CES
next month
Microsoft Shuts Down Office Genuine Advantage Antipiracy Program -
The antipiracy tool, which forced customers to verify
their version of Microsoft Office before downloading online content (like templates), has been pulled. It is unclear if it will be replaced by newer technology, but for now pirated and legal versions of MSO enjoy equal access to Microsoft's online resources.
Kinect Used in Forensic Medicine -
This Video demonstrates
, how the Microsoft Kinect can be used to control a PACS system, in this case OsiriX. The software is based on ofxKinect, libfreenect and open frameworks.
Real-Time 'Holographic' Video Chat Using Kinect -
At this point, it just seems like
the applications/uses for the Kinect are endless
, doesn't it?
Notion Ink Adam tablet: Insane multitasking in action -
The tablet world is really heating up, but it seems like the
Notion Ink Adam tablet
has been simmering on the back burner for far too long. When is this thing finally going to hit the market? I don't have the answer to that question just yet, but I have come across a real world demo video and, well, it's pretty hot. Without exaggeration, the demo has the Notion Ink Adam running no fewer than nine apps all at the same time!
UK Plans to Block All Internet Porn -
THE UK Government is to combat the early sexualization of children by
blocking internet pornography unless parents request it
, it was revealed today. The move is intended to ensure that children are not exposed to sex as a routine by-product of the internet. It follows warnings about the hidden damage being done to children by sex sites. The biggest broadband providers, including BT, Virgin Media and TalkTalk, are being called to a meeting next month by Ed Vaizey, the communications minister, and will be asked to change how pornography gets into homes. Instead of using parental controls to stop access to pornography - so-called "opting out" - the tap will be turned off at source. Adults will then have to "opt in."
CardSharp: the credit card that transforms into a knife -
Designed to be stored in your wallet,
the knife is the dimensions of a credit card
, but with three little folds it transforms into the utility knife you see before you. The built-in protective sheath protects you from injury and the stainless steel surgical blade from blunting , plus its composition makes it slimmer and lighter than standard knives. Weighing in at just 13 grams and measuring just 120 x 120 x 5mm. It's set to ship Q1 2011 for $25 US in your choice of natural stainless steel or black Teflon coated blad.
DARwIn-OP Humanoid Robot Demo -
Virginia Tech roboticist Dennis Hong shows off the new
DARwIn-OP open-source robot
at the IEEE Humanoids 2010 conference in Nashville, Tenn.
Body Drum Kit (video) -
I guess you all remember Daito Manabe
his Electric Stimulus project
where he stimulated his facial muscles with small electric pulses, synced to music. Daito and Masaki Teruoka developed the next step of this system. Together with myoelectric sensors, they can make music by tapping on each other's skin. Just watch the video!

Drinking for Keeps: The Double Grenade (video) -
Here's a viral video of a guy celebrating the end of finals
by pounding a 'double grenade' in under a minute. What is a 'double grenade,' you ask? No, it has nothing to do with hooking-up with two cockblocking fat chicks. Rather, it's a huge, meta Jager Bomb. The 'shot' -- if you want to call it that -- consists of one shot of tequila, one shot of Jag, two shots of vodka, two shots of Blue Curacao, and about a can and a half of Red Bull.
Apple, Microsoft, Sony Christmas Ads -

First Trailer for Joe Wright's 'Hanna' with Saoirse Ronan! -

, the new action-thriller starring Saoirse Ronan (Atonement, City of Ember, The Lovely Bones) as a highly skilled 14-year-old assassin, trained by her father, played by Eric Bana.

"UK Plans to Block All Internet Porn - THE UK SCUM Government"
lol in the minds of these sick control freak hive mind cretins, sex and nudity = bad
war, violence, murder, abuse, sadism, garbage mind degenerating shit psyop tv shows/news, scumbaggery, lying government police state big brother scum filth etc etc etc etc = that's all ok because it all ties into making people more fucked up and supportive of their lying corrupt government officials and elected authority scum figures who pander to the criminal war mongering elite establishment.
Those in and supportive of nanny state government and stinking think tank groups who come up with policies are fucking control freak degenerative shit heads, as the game is about social and internet control with agendas and goals other insipid agendas. inJustice, police, social state parasite scumbags are just giddy of the amount of money and power they'll get from agendas like these being put into place. The road social communism has already started in corrupt countries like the UK.
And it seem too many stupid people are allowing it to happen. Clinical sociopathic depressive scumbags however don't mind the fact children have to get used to their police state slave society of unchecked big brother snitch and spies all over the fucking place while violence and threats for non compliance with these scumbags is case for more criminalization.. what a fucking place for children to exposed to and grow up in, the internet offers about about the only fucking freedom they have and even that is monitored by kook scumbags and dumb ass parents who like the fact they get to play big brother spy scum. Because they are too fucking spineless and ignorant to see and to do anything about the corruption all around them and in their own jobs.
p.s if you want to know what children are more sexually exposed at younger ages, its got fucking nothing to do with internet or porn, and everything to do with other fucking industries, including the corporate music, fashion and MEDIA industry etc.
Give an inch and they'll take a fucking mile.

Hmmm, its funny, i knew practicually everything about sex, how its done, the rewards and the consequences.....STDs and pregnancies and stuff like that when i was like 14 and it was not through the internet at all, we didn't even have internet when i was that young, its this thing called TV, there tends to be an adult movie on once per week and if you know the right Sky channel, then every freaking night on 3 different channels.
I totally agree with you Koogle, just not with so many swear words in it. lol
