  • The History Of Nvidia GPUs - Nvidia formed in 1993 and immediately began work on its first product, the NV1. Taking two years to develop, the NV1 was officially launched in 1995. An innovative chipset for its time, the NV1 was capable of handling both 2D and 3D video, along with included audio processing hardware. Following Sega's decision to use the NV1 inside of its Saturn game console, Nvidia also incorporated support for the Saturn controller, which enabled desktop graphics cards to also use the controller.
  • Acer Aspire U27 – Ultra-Slim All-in-One with Liquid Fanless Cooling System - The Acer Aspire U27 is being promoted as the first all-in-one desktop with the Acer LiquidLoop fanless cooling system. The Acer Aspire U27 is a powerful 27-inch all-in-one computer that won the 2017 iF Design Award for its innovative design.  The unit is built on an impressive ultrathin 12 mm (0.5-inch) chasis with an elegant diamond-cut v-shaped metal stand. Aspire U27 has a 27-inch Full HD wide viewing angle display (1920 x 1080) that is picture perfect from any viewing angle. The audio comes from a built-in subwoofer with Dolby Audio Premium. Unfortunately, the sound suffers somewhat due to no front-driving speakers on this unit. The unit is is powered by Intel’s 7th generation Core processors with an optional Intel Optane Memory.
  • Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Could Be Announced on May 23 - A tweet sent out by Surface chief Panos Panay earlier today has revealed Microsoft’s plans of holding a dedicated Surface event in Shanghai on the 23rd of this month. While Panay did not divulge any other info regarding the event, it is being speculated that Microsoft could announce the Surface Pro 5 at the event. There is also a possibility of the Surface Book 2 showing up at the event, along with the fabled Surface Phone that we have been hearing about for close to two years now. The Surface Book 2 on the other hand is expected to feature a clamshell design this time, featuring a 13.5-inch display. It too will be powered by Intel’s latest 7th Gen Kaby Lake processors under the hood, so there is definitely a high possibility of battery life going up by a decent margin. Along with a new design and updated internals, rumors suggest the Surface Book 2 will also be more affordable than its predecessor with a US$1,000 starting price.
