- Windows Phone 7 review - The chaps over
at Neowin take an extensive look at a prototype
Windows Phone 7 device running the Windows Phone operating
system: "Windows Phone 7 is a solid product, and it's not even out yet.
The developer/prototype devices are obviously not the ones that the
platform will hit on its final release, but we were impressed with how
quick and stable the whole thing ran even at this stage. A few areas
are worrying, with the lack of Twitter, Flash, Silverlight and HTML5
video at launch, it's not clear what Microsoft's game plan is here. As
a heavy user of Youtube & Twitter on Android, it seems hard to
imagine life without it. There's potential that Microsoft might be
intending on using the Zune hub as a way to manage video, but it's not
clear yet."

In an attempt to
combat the 99-cent rentals that Apple now provides with their new Apple
TV, Amazon.com's video-on-demand is offering TV episodes from Fox and
ABC for only 99 cents. This comes at a better deal than Apple's rental,
as for these episodes instead of renting, you are purchasing. The price
is the same for both standard definition and high definition
programming. Amazon's selection is quite large including TV hits such
as Glee, Doctor Who, Lost, and Futurama, a full selection is available here.
- Carl Bessai's Time Loop Sci-Fi Film 'Repeaters'
Trailer - HitFix has an early trailer for a
'gritty, sci-fi film' called Repeaters, from director Carl Bessai, that

plays with the Groundhog Day stuck-in-a-time-loop concept, but twists
it into a 'aggressive, fast-paced thriller' that addresses the morals
of starting over with a clean slate every day in some of the most
extreme ways...
