Dell: "Uncertain adoption" of Windows 8 is part of its reason to -
.
Dell's document states that, in the company's opinion, there are a number of challenges
that are facing the PC industry. They include " ... the uncertain adoption of the Windows 8 operating system and unexpected slowdowns in enterprise Windows 7 upgrades." Dell also cited a general sales decline in the worldwide desktop and laptop PC market, along with an increase in tablets and smartphone sales from consumers, which Dell believes people could buy as substitutes for new PCs.
Ouya available at retail on June 4 for $99 -
The Android-powered $99 OUYA game console
becomes available at retail on June 4th -- a date which was revealed this week during the Game Developers Conference. OUYA's calling June 4th its "official launch date," despite Kickstarter backers receiving units starting this month. Essentially, the two month waiting period between Kickstarter boxes and retail availability is being used as a consumer beta, giving OUYA time to adjust its software after getting feedback from early adopters. It's not clear if bundles will be available, but the game console itself and a controller (as well as power and HDMI cables, plus two AA batteries for the controller) are included in the $99 package.

The Real Limitless Drug Isn't Just for Lifehackers Anymore -
It took Peter Borden a while to come around to modafinil.
He never takes prescription drugs. He doesn't drink to excess. He's into acupuncture and alternative medicine. But he was working two jobs-by day, he does quantitative analysis and project management for a venture-capital-backed B2B start-up; by night, he's developing a proprietary high-Âfrequency trading system for a Wall Street start-up of his own-and what he needed was more time to work.
All The Bees Are Dying, And We Still Can't Make It Stop -
Honeybees have been dying in large numbers for years, and
an article from the New York Times indicates
that the problem is only getting worse. According to the Times, neonicotinoids (pesticide) are once again in the spotlight as a result of growing bee deaths in the past year (40% to 50% of the hives that pollinate fruits and vegetables in the U.S., which is just terrifying).

Post-it Note Arcade - Stop Motion Animation -
The recordings were printed out, one frame at a time
, and transferred by hand to various walls around my office floor using thousands of Post-It Notes. The process consumed weekends and holidays for the past 11 months. Changing background scenery was masked out and replaced with 1 consistent frame throughout the animation, producing an eerie stillness amid the moving images on the walls.

Dell: "Uncertain adoption" of Windows 8
Yep, I've heard of ppl not buying new hardware just because it comes with Windows 8. If it came with Windows 7, they would have bought it.
Dell is upset rightfully.
I wonder how long will it take for MS to realize that Windows 8 is a total failure and drop that crap from Windows 9.
Same question for Nokia: when will they realize that their choice for MS was a big mistake and go back to MeeGo?
