  • Kingston Releases FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Encrypted USB Flash Drive - Kingston Digital, Inc., the Flash memory affiliate of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced a pair of next-generation encrypted USB Flash drives designed to safeguard an organization's valuable data. The DataTraveler 4000 Gen. 2 and DataTraveler 4000 Gen. 2 Management Ready protect sensitive information with high-level encryption. DataTraveler 4000 Gen. 2 is FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified so it provides a tamper-evident seal for physical security to detect and respond to attempts to access, use or modify the cryptographic module. Data is protected by hardware-based 256-bit AES encryption in XTS mode and the drive casing is made of titanium coated stainless steel. The drive is designed to reduce the possibility of successful brute force attacks as it locks down and reformats after 10 failed password attempts.
  • Next release of Windows Server won't coincide with Windows 10 - Microsoft may be targeting a late 2015 launch for Windows 10, but the next Windows Server release will not happen until 2016. Since the time of Windows Vista, Microsoft has been launching the Server variant of Windows alongside the normal version. However, this time the release of the next Windows Server OS won't coincide with that of Windows 10. Microsoft announced on its Technet blog that they would be releasing previews of the next Server OS throughout 2015 and release the final bits in 2016. The preview of Windows 10, on the other hand is expected to end in April, with a release planned for late 2015. The blog post has also revealed that the next version of System Center Configuration Manager for Windows 10 will be launched in the same timeframe as Windows, in order to enable the special update system that was announced earlier.

It's now been 2 public announcements and they haven't talked about a single engineering feature except DX12.
  • Windows 10 updated, 18 improvements included in the latest patch - Microsoft has announced today a new patch for Windows 10 and this one is packed with updates, 18 in total. You can download the patch now by going to Windows Update and checking for updates. So what has been patched this time around? Everything from the start menu not opening to improving battery life of your device. You can check out the entire change log below and for those of you that are curious, this patch has the label of KB3036140.
  • Facebook Tag Scams are Back with Malicious Payload - It seems that scams and hoaxes really are part of a typical Facebook day. After previous reports of a privacy notice post hoax spreading on the social networking website, another type of scamming act is currently making the website's rounds, where it has been reported that at least 5,000 computers have been infected with a backdoor trojan. Bogdan Botezatu of HotforSecurity reports that cyber criminals have created a malicious tagging scam, that starts with an alleged "video," in which 20 friends are tagged in. Looking at the "video" in the Facebook post, it displays a goo.gl host, which is a URL shortening service, and not a video hosting website, which makes the post very suspicious.  The webpage where users are redirected to reportedly does a thorough scan of the victim's system. The page is apparently device-agnostic, and can serve malware to various devices like Android phones, PC's, PlayStation consoles, TV sets, smart cars, and media players.
  • Microsoft pushes the open source door a little wider with .NET - Microsoft has been pushing the open source message for many months now, and today the company announced a few updates to this initiative. The Redmond-based company has taken the next step in completely open-sourcing the full .NET Core server side stack by releasing the source code for the .NET Core Common Language Runtime (CLR). This release includes the full CoreCLR, which is the "execution engine" for .NET Core, including RyuJIT, the .NET GC, native interop and many other .NET runtime components. When you run ASP.NET 5 apps on top of .NET Core, CoreCLR is the component that is responsible for executing your code, in addition to the CoreFX/BCL libraries that you depend on. Microsoft says that there will be several additional milestones as they work to open source and cross-platform the .NET runtime and server-side stack. In addition to the open source announcements, Microsoft will also be hosting a virtual .NET conference on March 18th and 19th where developers can expect to hear more about .NET Core.
  • TileArt App for Windows Phone Encourages Creativity - Microsoft recently released a new app called TileArt that lets Windows Phone owners fully customize the appearance of their home and lock screens. With TileArt, people can create their own custom tile layout and upload transparent images to use with the layouts. Users can create their own lock screens and share their home screen layout with friends. The app provides access to some free TileArt, too, to help people get started. The TileArt gallery showcases backgrounds from professional animators, illustrators, and designers. TileArt is free to download from the Windows Phone Store. The app requires Windows Phone 8.1.

Migrating to Macs. Well pal, you work in a lousy company. Nothing more need to be said there. I'd go Linux before I went to a Apple dependent infrastructure. Clearly your company has more money than brains.

@Windows. I agree, ignoring desktop is stupid. MS is more interested in pushing their shitty phones and UI onto the desktop. Probably won't ever learn.

And people used to moan when Bill Gates was calling the shots...If only he'd go back and take the lead of Windows.

I would say bitcoin Mining is becoming a new trend of making money which helps the buyers to get maximum profit.There is also a chinese bitcoin comes in the market which I have saw on the coin tracking page and came to know about the benefits of this coin.

I also think to start mining bitcoins, but I still do not know if it is worth doing. A friend of mine is doing this and he says it's pretty difficult. Also, such a bitcoin farm does not always pay off.

Hi, thanks for the great advice. Do you want to make bitcoin fast or do you prefer to get high pay for your labor? As a rule, where there is fast money, there is either not fair money or very little. For example, consider mining with this service moonbitcoins. This is more interesting and promising in terms of earning. I like the fact that I don't need any special equipment to do it.
