  • Homebrewed CPU Is a Beautiful Mess of Wires - Intel's fabrication plants can churn out hundreds of thousands of processor chips a day. But what does it take to handcraft a single 8-bit CPU and a computer? Give or take 18 months, about $1,000 and 1,253 pieces of wire. Wow, it's damn nostalgic...reminds me old good 8-bit times...oh well.

With the Eye-Fi Explore Video you can do it wirelessly to your computer via Wi-Fi and it supports not only still-images, but also vide.

  • EU to re-ignite browser wars? - According to the Wall Street Journal, the European Union, as part of its ongoing antitrust investigations and prosecutions, is now considering forcing Microsoft to provide users of Windows easy access to a range of web browsers from which to select. If the scheme works as intended, consumers who purchase new Windows machines in Europe will have to make a choice of which web browsers to have installed on their machine and which one to make their default.
  • Google Wave Developer Preview at Google I/O 2009 (video) - For those who are having a little trouble understanding exactly what Google Wave is all about, seeing it in action might help you wrap your head around the concept. Google has released video of Thursday's keynote speech at Google I/O in San Francisco, where the company publicly demonstrated Google Wave for the first time before about 4,000 developers.
  • Gmail in real-time: Google does the Wave - Billed as "the e-mail of the future," Google Wave is the result of a multiyear project inside of Google to reinvent the inbox, blending e-mail, instant messaging, photo sharing, and perhaps, with input from developers, connections to the world of social networking. Still confused? Well, it's supposed to be an all-in-one service that is a little Twitter, a little Facebook and allows real-time communication, photo and document sharing.
  •  places but it might be worth waiting until RTM as a lot of Windows 7 torrents have been hit by malware and viruses recently. Microsoft is still on target to finalise Windows 7 over the summer with a general availability this fall.

When you order the app, they'll ship a receiver that sits on your car's dash so that your iPhone can interact with your vehicle (a Civic, in this case). The app can be used to opening and close your windows and doors. It can also be used to drive your car! Apparently, it's quite sensitive.
